Bye week and brats

I thought the bye week was going to come at a bad time. I thought it would disrupt the momentum we were building on offense. I was wrong. I’ve got no explanation for what happened today and for the first time I’m not happy after a win.
That’s the least of my worries though. I was tagged in a thread about brats. You don’t boil brats god ######! You bring em’ to a simmer w/ onions in a pot of beer. That way when you grill the brats they’re already done and at that point you’re just getting the grill texture on em’. I’m not talking about the brats on the market now that looks like hot dog wieners. I’m referring to the brats that makes y’all’s wives think about me.
C’mon

Can you read? Bring em’ to a simmer, boiling will bust the casing. The point of simmering will get the brats cooked before you put em’ on the grill.

Anyone who boils a brat has no idea what he is doing. Anyone who immerses a brat in beer definitely has no freaking idea what he is doing. Take it from this old German.

Aha, another aficionado who prefers the boiling method. I'm a little surprised by this but Footballpaythebills is also a strong proponent of the boiling method. Never would of guessed it but what do I know, yall are the experts. If yall say boiling is the way to go then it is. I just glad yaĺl were kind enough to share the info. Ty.

If you buy beer brats = brats made with beer, why would you boil them in beer? Waste of beer!
If you have regular brats, then you boil (simmer) in beer to give them beer brat flavor, I can concede to this.
But, why boil beer brats especially in water boil the beer flavor out of them. Just throw them on grill slow grill. Let the brats cook for 20-30min, do it slow enough to prevent casing from splitting everywhere to maintain the beer flavor inside. I have never boiled a beer brat but have boiled a regular brat in beer.
