Kelly Bryant looks legit...

He looks incredibly fast and athletic. He seems to have pretty good accuracy short to mid range but was hit or miss on deep balls. He seems to make quick decisions and appears to have good pocket presence. Can't wait to get this kid on campus and in orange. With a RS year (assuming he RSs) to learn the system and bulk up, he will be a prime QB to take over for Watson. I can see barely any drop off between the two QBs. Then to think we have Isreal coming in too...unreal.

Avoids redshirt mainly cause he's a little less raw and Bryant still needs some seasoning and a redshirt year would be huge for his development. He has a better upside than tucker but he needs a year to learn the offense and continue working on his craft. He's not the passer Watson was in high school but he's definitely a better athlete. The kid has 5* potential in a few years. Our QB situation is in good hands with Watson, TI, KB, and ZC.

Sorry but they are not even close. Dw is a true pocket passer with great touch and instinct throwning. Bryant is a freak ath that's playing qb. Bryant is a lot closer to cam newton. Watson more like a taller Russell wilson.

I'm assuming he Doesn't Redshirt. He will be competing for a back up role behind Deshaun Watson. Do you really trust Schuessler if Watson goes down? With Cole graduating we would be thin at QB if he redshirts. I'm also stoked about Tucker Israel.

definitely see Bryant avoiding a RS. If Watson plans on playing 3 years, Bryant's experience will help for sure...

I think they can swap redshirt years.
Year 1, the guy that you think is the most game-ready - probably Israel - steps in as #2. Watson would be a true sophomore. Assuming that's the way it goes, Bryant then redshirts. You still have Schuessler as your #3.
Year 2, Bryant elevates to #2, and Israel redshirts. Watson would be a true junior. At this point Watson would be eligible for the NFL draft...if he does what he might, I could see him going to the NFL at this point. Schuessler would hopefully still be around to round out your 3-deep.
Year 3, Israel and Bryant would be redshirt sophomores. They duke it out. The winner is probably our next starter after Watson, and then has 3 left to play 3.
That's in an ideal world, anyhow. Injuries and attrition have a way of throwing the best-laid plans into a cocked helmet.

You don't destroy records in Florida for nothing. Think about Ellington owning all kinds of records and how well he has done. If you have the talent it doesn't matter who your competition is. Unless you are Bobo that is.
