That the defense was just unfocused and unprepared. Said he's not sure what to say to them, but there is a lot of tape to teach from. Mentioned quarters coverage early where safety got beat - eyes in the wrong place. Said Cuse imposed their will. Didn't expect the Orange to keep the ball the final six minutes. More to come

Short week, road game, guys playing hurt, we are great but a little thin. Not good but far from some of the other inexcusable things that happened tonight. V is a man's man taking the blame like that though.

What did Pitt put on us 44 at home. Game winning FG drive in the valley with maybe the most talented offense ever to play at Clemson moving the ball. Or against an Air Raid on the road in a short week when the offense was 2-11 on third down?

Syracuse didn’t play on a short week too? Kinda like Kelly saying the rain really affected the Irish when we beat them.

the defensive call is as the OL are pushing them on their backs with their eyes turned toward the sideline.

This is what I noticed the most...unprepared. How do you get the push right up the gut against our All American DTs? Go right them before they are even set.

Curious why we didn’t play the same scheme that we played against Louisville? We sure didn’t contain the corners near like we did with Louisville... but we knew we’d have a game or two where the offense would have to cover the d and cuse is not a good defense team... I’m sorry but they’re not.
Imho HJ gave us the best chance to beat them with a deep threat big play, especially with a wounded kb.

As many wins as BV's D has won for us, the D is what cost us the game tonight just like Pitt last year. When they aren't focused, it shows. They looked completely discombobulated with too many gimmy plays to Syracuse. Buck up butter cup, GT is in two weeks.

The D had a below average game no doubt, but that still only led to 27 points. The offense sputtered all night and couldn’t sustain drives...as bad as the D played they still kept the game winnable and even contributed a TD.
It was just a poor performance...an off night all around. But the offenses lack of execution and play calling worry me more so than BV and the D.
And FG kicking...yikes.

Our D didn't lose the game for us. Our offense didn't lose the game for us. Our kicker didn't lose the game for us. OUR COACHES LOST THE GAME FOR US!! Poor gameplan on offense and defense!!

Looked like BV was getting the plays in late all night too. Their shifting and fast pace caused us issues. Very similar to Pitt last year

Ya'll better be happy we have BV

The defense didn't have a good game but they've been carrying this team all year. If it wasn't for BV we'd probably have a losing record by now considering how poorly the offense has played. We only have competent coaching on one side of the ball and that is defense.
