Brownell’s big highlight is the first win at Chapel Hill.

If the change happens I sure would like to see a well proven coach with power conference success and not flavor of the day surprise team from the tournament.

I had thought a while back about starting a thread about Bowden and TNet. I joined this site in 2015 and had been a member on CUTigers before that. I had joined there mainly to keep up with recruiting. If I’m not mistaken Roy Philpott was running that deal and I did enjoy that site as well back in those days

Well to get to what I was wanting to find out with the ole timers that have been here pre 2015 was the mood on TNet when Bowden was the coach. Just reading through the anti Brownell post seemingly every week in January-March, what was it like on here with Bowden? Similar?

The thing was, Tommy Bowden was a coot killer. That's what kept him around probably a little longer than he should have been, and kept the fanbase pacified (for lack of a better word). But ultimately, beating the coots just wasn't enough.
