After giving up a quick FG to Texas to make it a 6pt UW lead,

UW got the onside and Texas still had 2 timeouts. The best UW could do (without a 1st down) was to get the clock down to about 18 seconds before punting, so they ran the ball. On 3rd, after Texas had used all timeouts (with 50+ seconds on the clock) their RB ran it up the middle, was stopped, but got hurt. So the clock stopped by rule and UW had to punt with 50 seconds left (vs 20'ish if he didnt get hurt).

UW just held on for life after that one, swatting away a potential TD pass from the 12 on the final play.

Some Mario Cristobal level play calling and clock management nearly cost Washington the game and likely cost them their #1 RB for the championship game.

UW passed every down on their next to last possession, was a three and out taking almost no time off the clock. Running plays would've left very little time on their last series after making the FG.
