he should is based on his record against SCU. He did not have the overall talent around him that TL and DJU have and to a lesser extent DW.

He had terrible defenses that gave him no help for most

of his career. We finally had a pretty good, but not dominant, defense in 2013, but he had a lot on his shoulders while he was starting at Clemson.

Nah....DJ has had almost 2 years in this system....no excuse....He looks completely lost and his football IQ is nowhere near what we saw with Watson and TL. It shouldn't take til October for him to pulls things together.

You just freaking nailed it. There is too much talent for that OLine to look like that. That crap has been going down hill since Scott left. Blah blah blah .. same plays over and over and over. There is no spark , no fight !! Someone needs to get them the paddles so they all can get a jolt!!!

He’s not even Kelly this year. Last year we saw his potential but he’s gun shy. He needs to sit to wake up. We know he has it in him. How to bring it out. IDK.

He also wasnt honest with his strengths and weaknesses. If he had been, and had been able to successfully run the zone read he would have been a fine college QB even for a team of our caliber at the time. From what I have seen thus far, I would say DJU has more similarities to Kelly. I do believe the coaching staff is not letting him run as much this early in the season. If you remember after DWs frosh year, the staff has SLOWLY worked the QB running game more into the gameplans as the seasons have progressed...unfortunately this OL version needs the QB to run now in order to open other things up for this offense. It is ugly right now.
