Bowl Questions

Nov 30, 2014, 11:49 AM

I'm not exactly 100 % sure I understand the new bowl system, other than ACC has a tie in with the OB and since GT likely gets that, we are likely headed to Russell Athletic Bowl. So my question, Is there any possibility that we may be chosen as an at-large to any of the other New Year's 6 bowl games? If we end up ranked in the mid-teens does anything think that one of the bowls would take us? I'm not sure if this is possible or not because I do not entirely understand the current selection process. So basically my question is, Do we have a chance at any New Years 6 Bowl or is it certain that we are destined for the Russell?

of teams by conference to the big bowls, however, we won't. With so many 1 and 2 loss teams ahead of us, we won't get an at large invite. FSU to playoffs if they win, GT to OB unless we somehow pass them in the rankings and us to Russell Athletic bowl. If GT wins, they still go to OB,,and FSU would be an attractive at large for the Peach or Cotton and we still goto Russell Athletic bowl. Best case we somehow pass GT and get OB (which I doubt and don't think we deserve considering they beat us head to head and beat an opponent we lost too), and worse case Orlando for Russell Athletic.
