2-0 in the first. For historical reference, this is the first time a SC team has made the American legion World Series in almost 80 years. 1936 I think. Get em boys!!

I played on the 1968 Timmonsville American Legion team that went to the world series.
We came in third in the country.

Greer beat Washington in 1st game of the world series in 1957. lost to Arizona.that was some great players in the Fifties.Edwards was coach.

I'm from Florence and we have been the best legion team in SC the last few years and had a very good team this season. Chaplin newberry spanked Florence this season. I hope they hang on, Florence went deep in the World Series a couple of years ago but did not win it.
