Everyone seems to be blissfully going along as if nothing unusual is about to happen. This ain't gonna be your ordinary recession. This isn't going to be: Oh dear, food prices are high. This is going to be, Oh Dear there's No Food on the shelves.

wheat shortage on Putin. The gas prices are at least partially attributable to his invasion of Ukraine though the current administration has done plenty there as well.

Not right now because it’s not necessary but I was raised on a small farm by parents who lived through the Great Depression so I know how to get there pretty quickly if needed. Do have a freezer full of venison.

is that JP Morgan Chase and the crooks that run it won't publicly say anything that doesn't somehow benefit their greed. We should have busted up these "too big to fail" banks years ago...

Going to blame that one on a political ideology? I know TNET loves to paint such a black and white picture on which political ideology to blame always. Must be great to have such simplistic view on life and be able to channel all your disappointment with our government to a one side or the other.
Truth is that no politician has the incentive to look out for it's constituents because of the capital required to get and maintain power in Washington.
While we are bickering over what bathroom 0.005% precent of the population can use and what guns we can own, we are paying the highest prices for healthcare, internet, and basic living expenses in the world.
But it's all the libs fault, I get it.

When did I say all conservatives were simple-minded?
My dad is most certainly not simple-minded and he is conservative, for example.
I am just talking about the ones who can't make a real counterpoint but simply blame the libs for every problem in America. Know anyone like that?

None of it has anything to do with that incompetent buffoon Joe Biden and his Jezebel VP. It's all because of Trump, COVID, and Putin (rolling eyes).
The next time a liberal lefttard accepts responsibility for their failed policies will be the first time.

Neither party really gives a crap about us unless they benefit but the 2007 recession falls directly at the feet of the Dems. They forced banks to make loans to unqualified people in the name of fairness. They banks then took it two steps further by bundling and selling the bad debt with due diligence so they share the blame as well. There is video of Dem leaders being warned in the Senate that it would blow up but they didn’t seem to care.
This inflationary period started with the stimulus checks plus signaling from this administration that oil production would be slowed

was the one who started the push to relax banking regs that led to the subprime fiasco. Dems weren't the only ones in on it though, believe me.

It goes back further than Bill Clinton. It began with the Carter administration. But, the Reagan administration did the most damage. For starters, the distinction between commercial and savings banks was eliminated. He also began the era of massive federal deficits, making our crashes more severe. Reagan passed legislation that allowed banks to gamble more with taxpayer money. Reagan also eliminated mortgage lending restrictions that required people to make a huge down payment on their home. Then the administration enabled banks to issue out credit cards to virtually everyone, which led to a monumental increase in private debt.
Bill Clinton finished the job. Most notably, repealing Glass-Steagall completely, which had already been weakened.

If Trump was still President, we would not be talking about food shortages and gas would be affordable. So yea I blame those in power. Very simple! It started with closing the pipeline and has been downhill since then.

there is no question that the current administration is a bunch of incompetent buffoons and the absolute worst POTUS and VPOTUS in American history. Record high inflation, record high prices for...well...everything, supply chain shortages/issues, a boarder crisis, illegal immigration, a dysfunctional political system, gun violence, COVID, violent crime, and a totally racially motivated appointment to the Supreme Court, and this clown hasn't even been in office two full years yet. To further compound matters, these radical liberal lefttards want to effectively steal money from hard working Americans so they can give it to people who are either too lazy or too incompetent to support themselves. They want to defund the police, release and/or not prosecute violent criminals, and then take away the guns so the American people have no way to protect their families or their property. But hey...at least we're not seeing any more mean tweets.

Most crooks are smart, just some find a way work around the legal system while others get lawyers up front and work to find the loopholes in the legal system.

I have always found that some will always say that anyone making over a million a year are all crooks. News flash some people have been blessed with money and learned how to make a lot more of it with what they had.
Loopholes are on the govt. if they are there it would be kind of stupid not to use them imo.
