Exactly. Nobody is truly worried about Clemson as long as Brad is here. We may have some good years, but there’s nothing sustainable enough with Brad that we could reach the level of intimidation to others.

Walt = JK = jstone = Clemson mountaineers = Cobbox. Even Neff wishes he’d held his tongue till after the NIT at the point. You Brownell Bros should be super concerned about that lack of extension. Clemson basketball insider Judge Keller said the extension was a done deal. Taking him at face value means that Neff changed his mind and reneged on Brad. Going to take a lot more than he’s ever done before for Brad to regain Neff’s confidence.

CBB is going to the tournament next year, and he is going to get extension. And all of you Lunatic Fringe members can go back to the clubhouse and lock the door behind you. It's late May and the Lunatic Fringe and still calling for a firing of a coach who has 10 straight winning seasons and won 23 games last season to finish third in the ACC. At a place that could give a crap about basketball. I think he has done a great job in difficult circumstances. Some of y'all need to get some perspective or go back to sniffing football jocks.

I love Ramona as a person, she’s great. And I don’t think the reason for her presence is to even provide much sports information, but she isn’t all that good at knowing current sports.
Again, I guess she’s not there to be an analyst.

I don't mind Brad. I've been a clemson basketball fan for 35 years. I really don't know what you young people expect. I'd love to be really good at basketball. But, it's a rare occurrence at Clemson. And, I'm cool with that. The football team is enough for me, honestly. However, I do love college baseball. So, things are pretty good for me all the way around right now.

I don’t think it’s about a young person’s perspective of this program. But for a fairly young person myself, I know the potential of basketball here. Clemson has all the resources it needs to compete nationally in every sport we have here.
The enraging part and the most confusing is the reluctance to pursue an elite coach from elsewhere. Even during Brad’s pis* poor years, we did not seem to attempt to make anything better.
It’s only rare because we haven’t put enough effort into making it better.
All of this said, I applaud Brownell’s work in the portal. But you’ve got to gain results in the postseason, otherwise it’s pointless.

Consider me IDIOT Numero uno! Going to take a while for me to get past that first round loss to Morehead St. The sad thing about it is it really should not have surprised me. Brad hasn’t and cannot for whatever reason win the big games and will lose some to the bad teams on the schedule. Don’t listen to the guy but from what I hear I’m not missing anything.

Yeah he’s using the argument of us needing to stay in the current moment, and focusing on the progress from last year. And how well we played last year.
“This team basically belonged in the NCAAT.”. Yeah I don’t think so Walt. When you lose to a 4-win Louisville team in the most important stretch of the season, and then lose to Morehead St. in the NIT, you don’t BELONG anywhere. Obviously shouldn’t have even been in the NIT.

He should have been fired after the Moorehead State game, but not at this point. You'd be firing someone to get last pickings on a coaching carousel that's already played out with an inability to go after any transfers or make meaningful moves in recruiting.

have been fired at the end of last season. Butt, since Nerf didn't pull the trigger at that point, we are stuck with Brown-L through the end of another disappointing season. Oh, I am sure it will start off with a lot of promise, team playing well, etc. Then, once conference play starts, reality will begin to set in. Sorry end-of-game coaching will cost us another 3 or 4 wins that we could have had. We "just barely" miss the NCAA again.
Rinse and repeat.
Yes, I am bitterly negative about the basketball program right now. Brad Brownell's (lack of) coaching made me that way.
