Best Basketball start in years

Dec 31, 2022, 8:47 AM

Yet we are ranked #75 (Net Rankings). SMOKE AND MIRRORS. We will start getting back to normal on Wednesday at VT in a few days....The ACC is HISTORICALLY WEAK!

Best Wins
Georgia Tech #134
NC State #66
Wake Forest #84
Penn State #63
Towson #150

Losses
Iowa #68
South Carolina #265 - looks very bad
Loyola #223 - this team beat us soundly

Actually, we have a very easy schedule this year....we only play 4 currently ranked teams. We have to beat UNC, Duke, VT, and Virginia to sniff the tournament.....

Remaining Conference Games:
VT #28
Pitt #72
Louisville #345
Duke #17
WF #84
GT #134
FSU #241
BC #213
MIAMI #32
UNC #29
Syracuse #148
Virginia #19
ND #172

The basketball team looks better than that team I saw playing on the Tennnessee side of the field last night!

I told a buddy before the season started that Clemson would finish between 4 to 7 in the ACC. I still think that’s right. Clemson will make the tournament this year.

Except for the two bomb games

we've played very well. Hunter Tyson has become a real force, something I didn't think he had in him. He's the heart of the team. We won yesterday with PJ having an off game, and without Hemenway. State has an excellent backcourt and we shut them down.

We have a chance at a very good year. Have to stay healthy. The long grind begins now, even with the conference down. Teams simply know each other very well, and even with lower rated opponents, there are no gimmes, especially on the road.

We're in a good position though.
