Being in a division with...

Kansas, Kansas State, and Iowa State doesn't sound much more exciting than being in a division with Maryland, Wake Forest, and Boston College. I don't mind to move, but I'm not crazy about the way people are talking about the conference being split up.

I think it would be much more appealing if the conference was broken up into the Big 8 schools with West Virginia, and the Southwest Conference Schools with Clemson and FSU. I think this would create more balanced divisions and still retain most rivalries if they implement cross division rivals.
Texas TCU TT Baylor FSU Clemson
OU OSU UK KSU ISU WVU

Such a fair and unbiased post. Look, every team in the Big12 isn't Oklahoma, but every team isn't App State either. Ignoring the best teams to make your point just makes your point worthless. Why not just say "I favor staying in the ACC" and leave it at that.

No it's not worthless because if you've been reading the posts made on here, the Texas, and the Oklahoma boards the way that people seeing the divisions being split up those would be the 3 Big XII that would be put in our division, along with FSU and WVU. I didn't ignore the best teams I made the comparison to the teams that would be in our division in the Big XII and the teams that are in our division in the ACC in terms of excitement generation. If you want me to add WVU and FSU then fine.
FSU vs FSU NCS vs WVU = push UMD vs KSU = push WFU vs UK = push BC vs ISU = maybe ISU by a hair
If you actually took the time to read the follow up post you would have read that my critique was in the divisions that are being talked about NOT the comparison of conferences. I said it would be more interesting if the divisions were broken between the Big 8 schools with WVU and the SWC schools with Clemson and FSU.
A division with Clemson, FSU, ISU, KSU, UK, and WVU is no more exciting than the Atlantic division of the ACC. Throwing in UT, OU, OSU, and TCU makes the move a little more appealing than the ACC.
However we could possibly have a conference schedule one year that is:
ISU, KSU, UK, FSU, WVU, TT, BU, OU and I'm not sure that is much of an improvement over what we had in our schedule last year other than just being refreshingly different.

You would be playing at least 3 teams from the other .

I can't speak to your "excitement" level about playing those B12 teams every year, but they are better football teams than the 3 ACC teams you listed (IMO anyway).
KU, KSU, and ISU fans wouldn't be really thrilled being put in the Eastern Division either. We'd all prefer to keep playing OU, TTech, Texas, etc. That said, there is no way this thing can be split into 2 divisions and not upset somebody's fans. It is what it is.
I'd be fine being put in the Eastern Division with FSU and Clemson. We recruit Florida well as it is and being in that division would actually help us in that regard. The Kansas schools, not so much. They rely more on Texas for recruiting than we do.

Not really sure how any of them could be considered "better" when in the last 15 years Iowa State has had 6 winning seasons and Kansas has had 5 winning seasons. I'll say I was incorrect about KSU and thy have been pretty good over the past 15 years and have had 11 winning seasons.
Boston college has had 12 winning seasons in the last 15 years, Wake Forest has had 6 winning seasons, and Maryland has had 6 winning seasons.
So I think it's an even comparison in both success and excitement.
