You know, I keep seeing quite a of us on facebook and TigerNet ragging on Carolina for losing today. As a Clemson fan myself, I don't really think we're in a position to be making too much fun of them. 2 national titles in 4 years is not something to hate on. It's actually very impressive. I don't think there's any doubt that them boys in Columbia can flat out play. The Gamecocks are a powerhouse program every year. We're just getting our feet wet, and are nowhere close to the level they've been playing at for years. Are we a good team? Yeah, we are. Do we recruit Top 15 classes (in baseball) every year like they do? Yeah, we do. But there is no denying the fact that, unlike SC, we ourselves have yet to prove we can transition all that talent to a solid season, a birth to Omaha, and beyond. And until we can take that next step towards nat'l prominence, I don't really think we have a right to tell Carolina they "suck". I mean, we couldn't even get out of a regional against Liberty. That's pretty pathetic if you ask me.
If you're going to criticize, at least be fair and rational about it. As a friend of mine put it: Any college baseball fan in the country would give anything to have the last four years SC had. I know I would. And I'm not ashamed to admit it either. So go ahead and reply "get em coot!" like most of you irrational trolls will. But just know this: We're actually more jealous of them than happy that they lost. To admit anything different would be a lie.

Still doesn't change the fact that we have nothing to show for how "great" we think we are. We're just acting like haters; hating on a team for having the success we've never been able to achieve. Call me crazy, but I think it's more classy to show respect and tip your cap off to a good team. Maybe having good manners is something people just don't learn how to exercise anymore. Sad, really...

True Iceman. Lots of guys on here think they are Clemson gentlemen but they are posers. Sad to say.
One of the worse things to happen to Clemson was doing away with 'Rats' and a number of the old traditions that Clemson was founded upon.
One of the best slogans ever associated with Clemson is "A Clemson Man needs no introduction". Those who whine and ##### and hate other teams, the coaches and the president, and everything that they dislike are NOT Clemson men.

Suppose we worry about CLEMSON and not become to involved with other folks. We may get a berth to the world series next year. Let's concern ourselves with what is really important. ... .. the TIGERS

IMO if you don't make it to Omaha you are not a very good team. You're just average that applies for us and that other school. The last 4 years don't matter as we have heard so many times its the past. I am not nor will I ever be jealous of that other school. Go Tigers!

Some of us have the "rationality" to understand what a RIVALRY is. You DONT give credit to your RIVAL. It's quite simple. Let me break it down for you. Any success they have that's thrown in my face (because if certainly don't go looking) hurts deep inside. Any failures they have gives makes me happy and i'm dead serious. With the exception of death or injury which is a serious matter. But other than that the South Carolina Gamecocks can SUQ IT. The End.
