Why doesnt Clemson wear the purple uniforms?

I havent seen Clemson wear the purple jerseys, pants, or all purple in several years! Is there a reason why Clemson has not worn them?

purple diluted that effect in the stands. It is going to take years to get rid of it,so that when we go ALL ORANGE,it will be reflected in the crowd. I seem to remember years ago we were having an Orange Out and Bowden had the team come out in purple...

He wears purple shirts / sweatshirts quite often.
He told the team they can't wear purple till they earn it. After the team won the ACC, for the presentation at Little John, the team came out in purple jerseys.
Last year Dabo said they'll return eventually, but he's just rolling with the traditional look for now. He commented that the players love them and that we'll see purple again at some point.

I think the purple Jersey looked alright. But the purple jersey and pants looked bad. I remember Bowden kept laughing at the all purple uniforms.

Not a big fan of them...BUT, I think they would look better, if they were a few shades darker. And it does help if it's just, the pants, or just the jersey, but not both.

The purple jerseys / white pants is a great looking combo.
The reverse isn't so bad either. I like the white jerseys / purple pants.
I even like purple jerseys / orange pants. This is a great way to display school colors.
I'm not so crazy about all purple though. It's a bit too much for me.
I hate orange jerseys / purple pants. We wore that once, and it looked terrible.
