Yep, you fell for it.

Dabo is a much better coach and a way better man than BB will ever be. Nothing against BB.

I still wonder what Dabo did to make you like this.... wait... you were like this before Dabo; he just brought it out.

I only give you the attention of a response because there's just something horribly wrong with your m.o. here. Never seen anything like it. It's like planned randomness with an occasional moment of semi-neutralness.

I’ve been all in for 62 years, and I’m getting sick and tired of his arrogance. If he has all the answers, why is his program going downhill fast? I’m also getting tired of hearing about 2016 and 2018; for those of us who worked regular jobs, the performance evaluation was always based on *What have you done for us lately?*

-Having one of the highest amounts of returning production and being 1-2

-Being 1-4 against the Power 4 in our last 5 games

Those are a few things that are bad about our football program.

So you have no notes on how Cade has played this year?

Nobody's saying anything bad about how good Randall is playing, but how about the fact that we were so thin at RB our best option is a converted WR?

What else? Coach Allen is getting out-schemed left and right and apparently forgot to fix our tackling issue. Coach Riley is getting caught off guard by blitzes. Coach Luke's recruiting wins are better than the guys he already has.

Let's not forget that all three of his sons are on the staff or on the team. None, in anyones wildest imagination, was a D1 player, yet he finds a way to get them on the field. We could have taken that scholarship and gotten a real player and just let the back up QB hold like everyone else. But that would open up the possibility of a fake FG. The family and friends routine has run it's course. Sick of legacy players taking up space while Dabo does everything in his power to justify their scholarship. If he thinks he's fooling anyone then he's not very smart. I'm tired of his mindless excuses. UGA would tolerate this BS for about 1 year.

What he said is true and what you said is true. But in college football, what you did in past years doesn't warrant long term future guarantee's. Sports is a competition and competitiveness is the main factor of sports itself and you have to bring it each and every year or you'll be walked out the door. That's just the harsh reality of it.

Nobody is expecting a national championship every year here at Clemson. The only programs that think that are Ohio State and Alabama. But flopping around like dying fish on the football field is below Clemson as well. We are setup to be contenders every single year. What comes with being contenders is being a program that doesn't look like it can't get out of its own way.

A salesman can rely on his company’s good reputation for little while..but after a few years of poorly designed products, the reputation changes, people figure that out, and go elsewhere. This is what will happen with recruits. They will see the poorly coached product on the field, realize something fundamental has changed for the worse, and go elsewhere. In this particular case, the salesman is the CEO…who is ultimately responsible for this change in reputation, and furthermore does not have the self awareness to make the critical changes needed. Only with self awareness can internal, fundamental, impactful changes occur.

I’m not usually very critical of Dabo but since he asked I’ll try to point out a few things-

First it’s not that the program is “so bad”- it’s that the program is not even a shell of what it was five years ago. The decline is obvious to the world and with few exceptions it’s been a steady decline.

Secondly you have a senior quarterback who is a third year starter that often looks like a freshman out there making rookie mistakes.

Third you continue to bring in blue chip recruits and they don’t seem to improve. You say Clemson is a developmental program but most of the players are not better than they were when they arrived on campus.

Fourth the team, in crucial moments, just doesn’t look hungry. Case in point- GT’s final possession. I told my son that it would be a great opportunity for the defense to stand up and get a stop and get the ball back for the offense, which had just had a momentum building drive for a touchdown. I knew GT wanted to run the quarterback and if I knew it the coaches and players had to know it but they got outplayed and outcoached and it looked like GT just wanted it more.

Fifth this is the season we’ve been building towards for a couple of years and you told us before the season how good this team would be but the term “mediocre” would be a charitable description of the team at this point.

We are all aware of what you have accomplished and we are very proud of you and those accomplishments but we want to know where you take us from here. I haven’t given up on this season- there are many goals still attainable but the trend ain’t good. It’s possible but it’s not looking very promising.

I hope this clears up a few questions.

I'm as disappointed as anyone with a 1-2 start with all the pre-season hype.

If you agree or disagree, Dabo's right there are highs & lows. We are a spoiled fan base, but I can remember far worse than 2020 - 20225.

2018 we went 15-0. But was it all highs. Heck NO.

28-26 to A&M and if you remember we got a very favorable call on a touchback that had it been called out at the one-yard line we are 1-1 and the 0 is gone

27-23 to Cuse & we were dang lucky to win that game when TL went down & trailed the entire game until 3 minutes or so left.

BC 27 - 7 but I remember people on here saying we should have put 77 on them like Louisville the week before.

So am I happy with 1-2 start heck NO. Do I think we need to make changes Yes. Should Dabo be fired He44 NO.

One game at a time at this point. albeit the chances are slimmer than they were three weeks ago. We still can be all in have a chance at the end.

GO TIGERS BEAT Cuse.

coming. I started to post on Sunday that it's about time for one of Dabo's patented "I'll just take my ball and go home" threats. He's done this before at the slightest little hint of displeasure in the fanbase. He can't take it, and he knows exactly what he's doing... all the hardcore Dabo worshippers will freak out and turn on other fans. Divide and conquer, just like politicians do. I wish we could call his bluff. He ain't going nowhere, his family and friends would have to find real jobs.

I absolutely believe if an individual believes that everything is great or just good with their job performance, they shouldn't feel there is a need to defend it as Dabo was doing. Truth, prior to our first game with LSU Dabo was believing this team could compete the top teams in the country.

Now 3 games into the season our Tiger team is 1 and 2 and the game that they did win, they were behind going into the 2nd half before they were able to score enough points to win against the only cupcake team to date.

Getting down to the actual truth, our preseason was filled with everybody saying and believing that our Tiger team would be playing for for it's #4 National Championship up until our team had to struggle to win against a cupcake team in the 3d and 4th quarter of the game in a game that we should have won by 40 to 50 points.

Personally I believe that Dabo is the best HC for our Tigers going into the future, but I also believe that Dabo should be totally honest with our fan base when he knows full well that this 2025 FB team has played awful for all the top tier talent that is on our FB team and promise our fan base that he will fix the problems this team has regardless of what it takes from athlete's to the coaching staff.

If Dabo was to show that kind of honesty to our fan base, he could finish out this season without hearing a word of fire Dabo bc we would trust that he would fix whatever problems that are constricting our FB team regardless of the actions he may have to take from pulling scholarships or firing coaches...

What is the most frequent comment of potential recruits after they visit the Clemson football program? “It’s like a family here.” What a compliment to Dabo and our program. But in the last five years, our players just haven’t had the fire, the intensity, you must have to win the big games consistently. As for Dabo’s threat to go elsewhere, he better hope they are happy with a head coach who is actually not a skilled offensive play caller, like, say Steve Sarkisian, to mention just one such coach. Dabo is a charismatic, college football visionary, an indefatigable cheerleader. He does not have a major football mind.

He's just appealing to the big picture (and the reality) that programs have downturns.

And whether any of you tearer-downers like it or not, history remains on his side.

For now.

In 2030.

Thankfully, because we play in the ACC we’re almost guaranteed a 8 win season. So Dabo will continue winning 8-11 games a year but when we join a real conference we better look out. It’ll get bad in a hurry. REAL BAD….

Why would either of those conferences want us based on our trajectory? Three years ago…maybe. Definitely not now. We bring much less to the table.

Never bring up the fanbase in a negative way.

I praised Dabo the other day by leaving fans out of it (I believe it was his Sunday comments) . This, however, is not ideal.

JMO, he needs to leave all the other crap out of his comments (they can send me on my way if they dont want me, etc...). It serves ZERO purpose. Doesn't help perception, recruiting, etc... I get being defensive--its natural, but it does not serve him well here--gotta find the strength to rise above that and sidestep the question or the urge to comment. Any PR professional will tell you that. Just say you and staff are working hard to fix the issues and appreciate the wonderful fan base at Clemson. LEAVE IT AT THAT. You know the deal coaching in big time CFB. All the national outlets have now picked up on his comments. Its just unnecessary---another self-inflicted wound for no reason.

And I will say this, I'm a season ticket holder at an SEC school and have been to almost every venue in the ACC & SEC and have prob attended 400-500 CFB games. Clemson has one of the best, if not THE BEST, fanbase in America. He's got it real good at Clemson. Control what you can control, fall on your sword and take the incoming. Hard to do in the moment I know...but best in the long run. I have seen this movie many times before....once a HC starts doing this regularly, it rarely ends well. I want CDS as my coach and I want him to fix the issues. Again, control what you can control.

Boy, you hit it the nail on the head. He should be so busy huddling with his coaches trying to figure out why we are not good, that he doesn't have time to read social media critics.

I always liked the way Danny Ford took ownership of when we sucked and said so. If we aren't playing well, don't tell us how good we got it. Make the guys play better and show us the motivational coach we know.

Long memories don’t do anything for you other than dwell on the past. Is he serious? He truly doesn’t notice that something is wrong and the last 5 years of the ten he is talking about have suckedddddd compared to the first five. I love Dabo but I’m sick and tired of him acting like we can’t criticize the play on the field just because, “i did good in the past”.

We all suffer from wanting to defend ourselves/lashing out at ppl questioning us....we all do it. Easy to say when you are on the outside (us fans). Much harder when you are inside and rule the kingdom.

As BV says, LESS IS MORE. Bite that tongue and control what you can. Hard to do in the moment, but pays off in long run

All the great ones have to move on eventually.

Fulmer had to leave Tenn. Holtz left ND. Beamer Sr left VT. Saban left Bama. Bownden and Spurrier left FSU and UF.

Eventually coaches have to move on at some point in their career. Doesn’t mean they weren’t the best modern coach a school has had., and it’s never easy for THE coach to go.

I've been following the Tigers since Charlie Pell was the head coach,we had some ebb&flows over the years but Dabo is 100% right about his program. He has set a standard and spoiled the fan base with success. It's time to let the season play out and see what happens. If you watch the entire press conference nobody wants more for this program than Coach.

Dabo really spoiled the Clemson fans and now their used to winning, you have a few up and down games, it can happen.. now all the Clemson faithful have turned their backs on him... Any Coach would give their left nut for his record!! So, sit back and let the games develope and we'll see where it goes. when Dabo starts going 5-5 its time to get worried!!
