Basketball remaining ACC schedule

11 games remaining Few are rematches
Using current ACC standings 5 at home vs. FSU, GT, Miami, Notre Dame, Syr 2 vs bottom 5 of ACC 3 vs pack of tied for 3rd or tied for 4th/5th place middle-mix
6 on road @BC, FSU, Lou, NC ST, UNC and UVA 1 @ bottom 5 of ACC 1 @ #2 in ACC 4 @ the jumbled middle pack
That is not an easy stretch at all, especially with Chase and Alex out. Hope everyone else can stay healthy.
Coach BB and staff need one other player (each game) to step up and bring consistency in scoring/shooting. Hall and Tyson need more help.
I wish that Galloway could elevate his play and averages. But he has never been a high scorer or really strong 3pt % guy. But his averages for his last two years at CofC show promise for providing a bit more.
I would love to see Wiggins gain more confidence and step up. His stats show that he wasn't a powerful force in highschool. He was consistent in all major categorie. His athleticism and size could help us on perimeter. I hope coaches can develop him up sooner than expected.
Hopeful forecast for rest of season 7-4 Jan games 2-1 Vs GT (win) @FSU (loss) @ BC (win)
Feb games 4-3 Vs Miami (win as Chase back, maybe Alex) @UNC (loss) Vs FSU (win) @Lou (win) Vs Syr (win) @ NC St (loss) @(UVA (loss)
Lone March game 1-0 Vs Notre Dame (win)
8-1 today, finish remaining games 7-4. Season total 15-5 in ACC. Could finish top 4 in ACC for seeding in the ACC tournament. Double-bye.
We shall see. Stay healthy Tigers. Gain and maintain confidence.

Tigers only made three 3 pointers last night (the last one was a biggie) so that really needs to improve.
No easy wins left but the confidence of the team should be good. I really like the way Coach has prepared the guys for these tough conference games. Down to a “bakers dozen” in games with six at home I believe. The FSU game will be a tough one. Hopefully we can get a couple of injured guys back in the lineup.

If we can get Hemenway healed our 3 point % should improve.

Tough stretch? What are you talking about. We have 4 games left in our season that should be a challenge. The rest are quad 3 or quad 4 teams.
The easiest schedule at this time of year we have ever had. Get real.
I told you in December we'd be 19-4 on Feb 1st and coasting from there. If we've ever had a legit chance to win acc reg season, this is the year.

The quad is not indicative of a teams current strength

FSU(ravaged by injuries at the beginning of the year) for example are no where close to what they were at the start of the season. And unfortunately their performance early have been a big weight on the whole league and now if you lose to their improved version it will be a big weight in the BS metrics. Anybody who watches a lot of basketball know Clemson is a tourney team - that doesn’t mean they aren’t going to lose conf games especially on the road and with some of our own guys out.

True, good point. Last time I looked, they still had 3 players out. But I don't keep up with their roster. Again, good point.

I basically agree with your synopsis of the potential results for the rest of the season. Biggest obstacle--injuries. I expect Chase Hunter to return to the lineup in about the timeframe you have predicted. Expectations for Hemenway's injury (plantar fasciitis) are hard to predict (personal experience); he could return in the next few games, or he could be missing for the rest of the season. Even bigger question is whether Tyson and Hall can avoid injuries for the remainder of the season.
I am extremely pleased with how our starting five have played this year. Even with Hemenway out for 7 games, the remaining starting four were able to win 7 straight. If Chase Hunter remains out, or if either Hall or Tyson go down for several games, we'll be lucky to split the remainder of our games. While I have been pleased with the efforts of our young and inexperience bench, I don't see the depth needed to support more than one of our starting five being out for us to play winning basketball against the rest of our schedule. MHO.

I agree on the toughness of the games because they always are but disagree about Galloway shooting 3's. If you saw the game last year when he almost single handily beat us with 3's when he was at BC. For us to go far, he has to shoot and make 3's.

Could be true. But I am thinking consistency, not hot for one game. I expect there will be a game or three here he shoots above his averages, but he will return to average (31-34%) from three.
He is usually a slightly less than 1out of 3 from 3. I think he has averaged max 15 pts per game but that was at CofC.
