Bad at the plate

Jun 3, 2012, 10:08 PM

I'm in no way a "jack hater". I hate losing to these cockroaches as much as anybody. maybe its just me..but maybe we need a new batting coach whoever that is. I noticed all weekend, especially this last game, that our batters WILL NOT lay off the balls in the dirt. We made that punk today look alot better than he is. most of his pitches were in the dirt...and we swung at them! On a different note..Yes, they have our number right now but every time we play them, it comes down to the wire. Just like in football, they are having the best 2-3 years in their programs history. And just like in football, They will never catch us in the overall record. I'm sure this will change soon and the Tigers will be back on top! Sorry for the length..just my opinion.

Maybe some of that was because of the large strike zone the

One play here and there, and we win BOTH games

If aggressive slide into 2nd is ruled differently, we win the first game.

If the call at the plate in the 1st inning today is called like the ump originally started to call it, we will today.

It is hard to blame one pitcher or any batter or any fielder or any coach on the two losses. We were in both games and could have (some might say Should Have) won both games.

I'm proud of my Clemson Tigers team. And any USuC fan who tries to make me feel bad tomorrow had better not try. They will FAIL.

Or SCar makes a play on top of ours ...

The better team usually steps it up to win.

CU has a good baseball team. Not great. SC is a good team this year. Great....remains to be seen. But let's not confuse the call at the plate. In fast motion, I too thought the ump was getting ready to ring up our guy. So did the announcers. Then, when they showed the replay from another angle, it was clear our runner jumped up and the ump was trying to push him away to make the call. In fast motion, real time, I thought he might be out. The replay showed clearly he was not and the ump got it right. As much as you wish he was out, the video was clear. Your catcher had the ball before the runner got there, but he tagged the back of the shoulder and the hand was already on the plate. That's baseball.
