I am a fan of that. I don't have to hike around, just sit on my a$s with camera, beer, and tunes after putting out some bird food.
Here is a pro-update for---
Bluebirds are drab in Winter, so some folks don't notice them. Mine are starting to color up for Spring mating.

My experience is that if you give a bird a place to land, it will.
The perch that BB is on is tubing from the toilet tank with a screw run through the middle.
This tubing will also slip tightly over many tube feeder perches to add some length so bigger birds like Cardinals can land.

It is not near Spring around Clemson.
It is fun to have a few warmer days.
On average here the the last frost is not until April 10th.
