Athletic Fees

Is there a place to petition against this? I've been paying my student loans for 5 years and will be paying on them another 5. I love Clemson, but in NO way should athletic and academic funding be mixed. As an engineering student, most weeks all I had to look forward to on the weekend was studying FRI and SUN and taking a break to go to Death Valley on Saturday. I don't agree with everyone saying DRAD was a bad hire, I think we need more time to tell. But, let's get an alumni/student petition together and show the Board of Trustees and everyone how much we are against this!

Idk how much your loans are...but I highly doubt $350 a year would have made a difference...

Old guy here - from 76-80 we had activities cards - guaranteed admission to games. It would be interesting to see the Athletic Dept. Budget - revenue sources and expenses. I bet there is a lot of ways to do things smarter and more efficient and reduce a lot of waste.

DRAD needs to come up with a plan to sell the unsold seats we see empty each week in the upper deck corners first before taking the easy way out on the backs of students and their families. Also schedule opponents that people want to see besides SC State, GA. State, etc.

Athletic Dept. use to operate the book store and got revenue from selling text books to students - at that time the only source of text books in town. Not sure how it works today.
