Cole Stoudt in opener

When Cole leads the Tigers into Sanford Stadium for the opener, it will be the toughest place any Dabo coached team has had as the opening game on the road at an opponent's field. If Cole can give a good account of himself, he may prove to be the best Dabo QB yet.

I think I understand what you're trying to say, but ...

... you took a kind of round about way of getting to it.
Dabo definitely hasn't had a road opener against an opponent of the caliber of Georgia. That's a fact.
Historically, Clemson has opened seasons in Death Valley and more times than not, we've opened with a lesser opponent.
Lately, we've broken the mold by participating in season-opening games on neutral fields against top flight opponents, but opening on the road on the home turf of a really good team is something that just doesn't happen all that often for Clemson.
Cole will have one of the toughest assignments of any QB in Clemson history this year. If he leads us to win in Athens, it will defy the odds for sure. One of the best QB's in Clemson history, Homer Jordan faced a similar test to open the 1982 season and was not able to pull out a win.

Well - we all know what happened to Bowden when he began his season with Alabama at the Dome. But - I'm pretty sure that a Richt-led UGA team is not anywhere close to a Saban-led Bama team.
We will be fine. I've waited a long time to see Stoudt get his chance. I hope I'm right about him. If so, CLEMSON will crush the Dawgs.

wouldn't, but he would have to have a Cam Newton type of season to be considered better than Tajh. And I don't think he can run like Cam Newton.
