My brother-in-law is a Citadel grad and a huge fan! When the dogs beat carolina couple years ago he was in Columbia at the game and I almost had a heart attack he was so happy! He was more happy than I was, and I was cheering so loud the neighbors thought they needed to call an ambulance !

Definitely !!! One of my Grandsons is a Citadel grad and was a Summerall Guard. He will not be attending the game on Saturday. He will be in North Dakota hunting pheasants and has promised to bring back a couple for me.

Short story: in ‘93, at White Sands Missile Range, in between missions controlling aircraft, struck up a convo with another operator. Turns out he grew up 10 miles from me (in Greer) and graduated from the Citadel. We’ve been friends since; and he’s coming to the game with me this weekend. He’s a fan, alright!
We’ll be down on the field in the WEZ at halftime trying to out-sing all the other branches when they play our service song...
... at ‘em boys, give ‘er the gun!
AIM HIGH & GO TIGERS!!!

If you are a Citadel grad and interview with a Citadel grad

You are hired. No questions asked. Done deal. Lots of loyalty with Citadel grads. And this loyalty overrides almost any other criteria in the hiring and career paths of Citadel grads. Have not seen this with other schools though I expect it exists.

as it is used wisely. I work with several Citadel grads and respect all of 'em. When I see a candidate who graduated from the Citadel I recall the others I have worked with and so they are considered strongly based on their peer's performance. Not that I hire anyone based on their educational institution solely or their peer's performance but there are some that rise above others for sure. On the flip side, some performance and behavior of in state grads from other schools are considered as well.
Go Tigers!!!

He was also a graduate and the second smartest guy I worked for during my 40 years of slave labor. The smartest man I ever worked for was Dan Malone. I don't know if he graduated high school but he was a Gamecock Fan. Both had sense enough to listen.

I rented a house to a Citadel grad/fan once. He was okay, but his wife was a VT grad/fan and she was not a nice person. I haven't pulled for VT since I evicted her.

My husband is a Citadel grad, and he’s a great husband, father, engineer, and friend. All of his Citadel buddies are stand up guys also (and those I know strongly dislike Carolina).
Most all “fans” are family members of Citadel alumni or current cadets.

I grew up as a Clemson fan, but went to The Citadel for undergraduate. I have two degrees from Clemson as well, but now have been a professor at The Citadel for 12 years.
Also, several students of mine will be on the field on Saturday. I told them to keep an eye on Renfrow on third downs.
