Arch Manning Prediction

Nov 2, 2021, 4:18 PM

I've read quite a bit about his recruitment and I have no more clue where he is going than anybody. That said - I do have a prediction. As long as Arch goes to one of his apparent top 5 (Clemson, Alabama, Georgia, Ole Miss, or Texas)... I believe he will win a National Championship where ever he goes. At Clemson or Bama that's not a hard prediction to make. At Georgia it probably isn't either. However - I think even with Ole Miss and Texas he will bring along enough other prospects that follow him to give them an excellent shot at a Championship. He's the kind of leader that Trevor Lawrence is. When you look at the last few National Championship QBs (all of which start in the NFL)... it's almost all humble guys with leadership quality and a ton of talent (Watson, Tua, Trevor, Jalen Hurts, Mac Jones). Even Joe Burrow was somewhat humble at first and was a great leader. Arch Manning just seems to fit in that list.

I really hope Arch chooses Clemson. I'm excited about Klubnik, but Klubnik reminds me a bit of Hunter Johnson - could be great, but is not a sure thing. Arch seems like a sure thing the way that Trevor was.

If I'm predicting... it's hard not to think he will go to Ole Miss if Kiffin stays there. Georgia seems like the next most likely, but I could easily see any of the 5. I like our chances better than Bama's at this point. I like the fact that him and his family/coaches give enough positives about every school that everyone thinks that they might lead, but not enough info where anybody feels confident.

GO TIGERS! Manning family - it would sound really great to hear you all say that. Come win some championships with us.

Way to throw Cade under the bus

JK

Would be great to get a sure thing like TL16!

Cade reminds me nothing of hunter Johnson, you don’t win a state title in one of the biggest divisions in Texas beating Quinn Ewers by being average. His mindset is all in going to do whatever it takes and win, he also has an nfl caliber release and delivery. Cade is going to shock a lot of y’all in here.

I do think Cade has a lot of potential. He doesn't have a super strong arm, but he does have a quick release and is super accurate. But to be devil's advocate, DJ won the national title and state title playing in the biggest division in California (a more talented state for football than Texas) and beat Bryce Young (the Heisman frontrunner - while Quinn will have to transfer given the Ohio State QB being so good) and a team of college athletes.

Been keeping up with Cade since before Ty finally chose Bama, and we finally offered. Knew he had some fire and moxie. Was glad we missed Ty in a way. I think Cade is the better QB for sure.

I think Tiger Nation will enjoy Cade here

Exactly, you do by having one of the most talented rosters in the country in all divisions of HS football… that’s what west lake has every year, including this year. It’s a miracle Ewers was able to have his team get that far and be competitive given the roster differences and talent top to bottom.

Pls stop predicting, Cade has been dominating

Their top competitors in TEXAS, Hunter in INDIANA

REALLY BAD COMPARISON….

Exactly I don’t think people understand Texas football, Texas and Georgia highschool football are no joke. He’s constantly going against D1 talent and has shined. All you have to do is watch his film, not just his highlights and you can see he’s going to be special

High school football in Texas is huge. Many have expensive college-sized stadiums which are sold out every game.

BTW, Drew Brees played for Cade's Westlake High School.

He’ll go to Bama, go early to NFL and Saban retires on top.***

DJ was supposed to be a sure thing too.

I’ll take Klubnick. I love the way he plays the game

Arch is a sure thing to the SEC

I too do not have a clue as to where he goes, but I think it's one of 5 schools; LSU, Ole Miss .Alabama Tennessee or Clemson .LSU because of where he lives, Mississippi or Tennessee because of his Uncles connections, Alabama because it's Alabama ,or Clemson because it is the standard of the ACC.
Just my opinion but I don't think anyone in the Manning family likes Georgia.

We had the best QB in the collegiate ranks the last two seasons and didnt win a national championship. Having a great QB definitely helps but it doesn't guarantee anything.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Honest question.

Nov 2, 2021, 10:56 PM

Is Arch Manning truly a generational QB, or is a lot of the hype surrounding him just because he’s a Manning?

I’m not trying to be critical. I’m sure he’s a very good QB and I’d love to have him at Clemson. There just seems to be a ton of praise being showered on him.

He is good because he is a Manning. He has had the best coaching and development available since he was able to walk.

Hunter leaving Clemson hurt his development . I am not saying he was plug and play. but he would have been a lot better off biding his time here at Clemson and playing for that 1 year starter role.

I seriously doubt he'll end up a UGA...

Kirby Smart is a dolt when it comes to QB development and the top recruits know this.

Keep on with the DJU development, he's shown great progress this year, and we will keep on winning with a 3 star former walk on.

We both know what I said is true and we both know how this season will end for UGA.

It's as equally sad as it is predictable.

Re: Arch Manning Prediction

To be clear on the Hunter Johnson situation, he was a talented player.

The problem with Hunter is that his background in football gave him no base of knowledge for what he encountered in the college game.

He couldn't read defenses at all and even struggled to learn Clemson's offense.

If you continued to follow him at Northwestern you would have seen him continue to struggle with reading defenses as he rarely sees the correct coverage or notices when a blitz is coming or from where.

His physical abilities were just fine, but the learning curve was far too much to overcome in time to beat out Bryant.

Then came Lawrence and Johnson headed for the exit for understandable reasons.

I know nothing of Westlake's offense or the defensive schemes that Klubnick faces in Texas but I can assure you he will be further along the learning curve that what we saw with Johnson.
