Schumer’s proposal calls for Democrats to agree to pass the GOP’s so-called clean resolution, which would provide short-term funding for government operations.

In exchange, the New York lawmaker said, Republicans would agree to a separate one-year extension of ACA credits, and to create a bipartisan committee to continue negotiations to address health-care affordability.


That seems like a fair solution for both sides that gives Republicans the opportunity to prove they actually want to find a better healthcare solution instead of simply cutting healthcare to pay for tax cuts for the wealthy.

SO, you are saying that the Dems will agree to fund SNAP, pay the military and reopen the government and all the republicans have to do is agree to transfer $35 billion directly to the largest insurers in America? No thanks. I think I'll take the end of the filibuster for the win instead.

A certainty is that the Dems will end the filibuster whenever they win the Senate again. Knowing that, do it now and get more of MAGA agenda completed.

Some might even suggest realing it and replacing it with a better way to address healthcare. Has anyone ever suggested this before?
