How good are we at developing talent?

Sep 21, 2021, 1:21 PM

IMO, the best Trevor looked was his freshman year, and got progressively worse over the next two. Fortunately, he started with so much talent it was enough to land him the 1 spot...but DJ is no Trevor.

Apparently we are one of the best at developing talent

Every recruiting cycle we start behind the top dogs and every year we go to the playoff. Look what we did in 2016.

You make a compelling point.***

It helps that committee values conference championships

and our conference usually sucks, lol.

Don't get me wrong, we've had some very nice OOC wins over the years and beaten very good teams in the playoffs, but we've been fortunate to be able to slide in going 12-0 or 11-1 and having a conference champ resume as it's it's incredibly hard to make the playoffs with 2 losses.

Agree DJ is no Trevor.

Trevor getting worse each year is nonsense. Better completion percentage and qb ratinge each year at CU. Boy was absolutely never the #1 overall pick in the draft after HS, nor after Fr or Soph years. That's craziness.

Trevor was easily better, especially running

the ball, escaping pressure, and running the read option his last year.

Last year, losing his favorite receiver, Ross, and Ngata/Ladson to injuries really hurt.
