Tuesday AM Jukebox: Those 70's women...so many choices!

Going with Joni this AM...always loved this tune and serious musicians/vocalists backing her. That seemed the norm back in the day, such that I'd always check the album (vinyl for you really young'uns) to see who was assisting the artist.

listened to from that time period. It was just so crisply recorded, it was a revelation! And, the segue from "Help Me" to "Free Man in Paris" remains one of the best ever.

Great duo. Nicks is playing the Wellness Arena tomorrow night. Still sounds great. My son got to meet her yesterday as she's staying at the hotel where he works. Kinda cool!

I was only five years old when this was played live - but dayumn if she is not perfect in every way. Have so many of her recordings/albums.

Loved her. It breaks my heart that she can no longer sing due to age/ illness.

One of her great covers, she changed it around just enough to make it her own.

a couple of great "Trio" albums with Dolly Parton and Emmy Lou Harris. Some just dismiss her as "The Queen of Covers". She sung what she liked, and any cover she did had her own interpretation. I loved her, unequivocally. Dam.n Parkinson's disease for taking that voice away.

songs and voices of all time, IMHO. I could (and often have!) listen to it over and over again, her voice is so smooth and silky in this song, with such simply backing by Lindsey Buckingham on acoustic guitar, but mostly just her and her piano.

Love "Lay Down" from 1970. This girl had some pipes! Sadly, just passed away about a month ago. Known for the "bubble gum" hit "Brand New Key" but that had far more dirty innuendo that most knew/know!

Had a really good cover of Ruby Tuesday, by the Stones, as well.
