A balanced offense (run and pass) along with our D and the sky is the limit.

We should be able to make it to the CFP every year - that should be our expectations. But I'm cautiously optimistic, as we don't know what our offense will look like. I'm cringing now thinking about the frustration from last year. We won't be able to pound the ball every down, so going to need a balanced attack with some success throwing the ball. Just remembering the GT game last year - how close we really were to a loss (really bad game for us) so >99% seems a bit high. I'm beating a dead horse here - hoping for much improvement from DJ, but at least we have backup plan this year, even if the struggles arise against GT (hoping not the case, but no one really saw last year happening either).

All I know is we can't let another Championship caliber defense go to waste. To win 10 games with a less than avg offense is impressive enough. The offense doesn't even have to be great, just be above avg this time and they'll be back in the CFP. Starts with QB play, it'll be either anohter 9-10 win season if its like last year, or 11-1/12-0 if he plays to his potential. The Defense will do their part, can the offense.

I expect to go undefeated every year. Last year was a shock to the system.

You may be a little slow but there were 3 regular season losses and no ACC championship game last year. Keep up or don’t post. Sarcasm with that staggering number besides your name makes you sound like a little #####.

With a statistically top five scoring Defense, and more challenging, a top 25 scoring Offense, this Clemson team is a playoff team. This was the UGA template from last year.
Bama and UGA have undefeated regular seasons and a re-meet in SEC championship. Winner and loser go to playoffs. Bryce Hall is the new Dr. Pepper QB.
Ohio State has a cake walk to an undefeated schedule. And Clemson has a good shot to go undefeated which will likely be needed as Bucknuts, Bama, and Dawgs put more rates in the TV ratings. This gives Clemson a #2 or #3 seed. Unless, there is a 2019 LSU-type ringer on the horizon, it looks like more of the same for the 2022 playoffs. With my orange-colored glasses off, once Tigers make the playoffs, it looks like Bama (if they can overcome Bill O'Brien as OC.) But never say never, if/when Tigers make playoffs.

UGA didn't have a "top 5 defense", they had statistically speaking one of the best defenses of the last 20 years.
If your offense is going to be "top 25", which really means "20th-25th", then you need the #1 defense in the nation to win the Natty

1. The OLine win the line of scrimmage. 2. WRs block, don’t give up on routes and catch the dang ball. 3. QB manage/lead the team. 4. Special Teams. Do your job. 5. Defense “NO MERCY!!”
YEAH I’M A LITTLE PUMPED!!
GO TIGERS !!!

This is the ACC, so anything less than undefeated in conference play with an ACC Championship is a failure with this roster and D.

The offense needs to average >35 ppg. Before last year, 2017 was the worst offense since 2010. Clemson has averaged >38ppg all but 2 of the last 11 seasons (2017 and 2021), and many of those seasons our 2nd team offense played 10-20 snaps/game. With the defense giving our offense short fields and more possessions, anything less than 35 ppg by DJ and co. would be a total and abject failure

15-0 Out score opponents 1200-0 Allow zero first downs all year Avg 25 sacks per game Give up zero yards rushing for the season. Avg 10 interceptions per game. Break every football record which includes kicking a 90 yd field goal Win every major football award Starters play the first 12 mins of the National Championship, we still win 77-0 Zero punts for the season. Zero turnovers. Back up QB finishs 2nd in Heisman voting to starting QB. 5 RB’s over 1500 yds. Laptop Dave accuses us of reading his mind. Dabo admits that we did in fact read his mind, but all we got was static noise. coots declare victory after only losing by 103pts

We just need our 4/5 stars to start being stars again. From 2015-2020 we were hitting on an extremely high % of recruits being starters and All-ACC. Last year was brutal with many of our top recruits from the last few classes either transferring out, getting injured, underwhelming, or all 3

Based on what we know today, beating the coots and winning the ACCCG would be a reasonable expectation.

Reasonable expectations.
1. 11-1 (12-0 possible, but no one should say it is a reasonable expectation.) 2. Make the playoffs. (Winning the national championship is possible, but should not be considered a reasonable explanation.)

How about win all the games in which Clemson is favored -- which will be all regular season games. Agree winning the natl championship is not a reasonable expectation.

11-1 7-1 in conference. Probably talented enough on defense to do it. Big ? At QB and WR that have to be answered. It may be what keeps Clemson from the playoffs

I think an ACC title is reasonable. They could make the playoffs. The schedule is much tougher with NCSU, ND, Miami etc.. I think everything depends on QB play first, and WRs after that. QB and WR are the most important positions in CFB today. It just so happens that’s where we have the most questions. It was amazing what Georgia did last year. It won’t happen again with that type of offense again.
