Right above Calhoun Corners. Still light that just hovered, then just vanished. Maybe shot off, it was so quick I couldn't tell.

Meteor showers have been at a peak last 2 nights and will happen again tonight. Some meteors throw off fireballs, that are much brighter than the shooting stars. They last much longer than the shooting stars and can appear to briefly stand still and then move very fast and disappear as it reaches the horizon
There were fireballs expected with this large meteorite show

No but cousins and I saw one while out 'scouting for wildlife' many years ago .. stone cold sober, no drinks ... followed it for about 3 miles as it leapfrogged over trees until it shot straight up almost faster than you could see

Ive seen them a few times here in myrtle beach. They are actually pretty popular here, alot of videos on YT if you search "ufo in myrtle beach". If you pay attention to the sky more often you'll start to see some weird $hit.
