I could easily see Clemson winning 24 or 25 games before ACC Tourney starts. 25-6 is my guess.
2nd Half of the ACC schedule is incredibly favorable.

If you were in my living room for every game you'd know that "ecstatic" is not a word to describe my feelings about a loss. Turning into the Hulk blind seething rage is more accurate.
My living room is the where I have to watch games, after 30 years of giving and being a season ticket holder in football and basketball, circumstances led us to stop giving to IPTAY and give up our seats; we used to drive to/from Atlanta even for early season Tuesday night games against Directional U.
I HATE HATE HATE seeing Clemson lose. Which is why Clemson basketball under CBB is so infuriating. 13+ years has convinced me that he is only a slightly better than average coach, whom we are paying for too much for the on-court results. Sure, on occasion his teams excite us all with a few wins, but the reversion-to-the-norm hits hard. Last year's chokefest was classic Brownelling.
I've said it before many times here: I WANT CBB to be successful, I WANT him to bring us to multiple Final 4 appearances. It would be AWESOME if we won every single game from now to the end of the season. But 13+ years of experience tells me that none of that will happen, and that maybe someone else CAN do that.

We didn’t play well today, but there is no shame to losing to a top 10 team, especially when you keep it close and competitive throughout despite having an off day shooting.
I’d say that our performance thus far this year has been impressive. Since you and others are railing on us today, were you also here for the many games we’ve won this year, including congratulating our team for big wins? Or were you like others here who didn’t seem to be impressed, and instead said lame stuff like “Just wait, Brownlee is gonna Brownlee” and other ridiculous stuff?

We lost, it stinks.
But there is zero shame in losing a competitive game to a top 10 UNC team.
It doesn’t mean that we stink. It doesn’t make Brad a bad coach. We lost a game. Move forward to the next one.
No need to be as dramatic as you are.

I'd be happy to see Clemson sign CBB up for multiple millions per year, provided the payout is 100% performance-based. Only an idiot would give him MORE money for lousy results.
Without doing the math to add it all up, something like:
* $100k for each ACC home win
* $150k for each ACC road win
* $50k for each non-conference win
* $50k bonus for in-season tournament championship
* $25k for each student athlete graduated
* $250k bonus for ACC regular season championship
* $750k bonus for ACC tournament championship
* $250k bonus for NCAA appearance, and for each NCAA tournament game won
* $25k bonus for NIT appearance, and for each NIT game won
* $1M bonus for NCAA Final Four appearance
Just handing him multiple millions based on past history and some vague hope he will do better? Nah.

All it was gonna take for an extension was an NCAA tourney appearance and that’s about wrapped up barring a compete disaster. People respond to economic incentive and Brownell’s threshold is way too low.

the more Brownell's teams and starters shrink away. One game its long range shooting, another game its defense or free throws. But in big games, Brownell is tight, and the whole team plays tight. Another season, another team, and same ailment for 13-14 years.

It’s disappointing but not surprising. BB is to basketball what Paul Johnson was to college football. An outdated offense that will always be competitive, win more than it loses, but no juice to win enough big games to get there.
