Dline play THIS year than we did LAST year. Primarily, because I believe all 4 guys that will start will give us 100 percent. We sure did not get that last year.

I had high expectations of the Dline last season. Maybe they were too high.

Back when I owned my own Real Estate agency, I had 5 agents.

One of them was terrific. He had the charm, expertise,well dressed...etc. But.....when he got four or five under contract....he coasted. And when you are coasting...you are going downhill....He never sold over 3 million a year. I feel like we had a couple of coasters this year on the Dline. One more at LB and maybe one in the secondary. We needed a Bouleware,Skalski,CW,Ferrell to check them. I don't think we had that guy this year. When your potentially best defensive player is your biggest loafer....it sets the tone. Hopefully, new blood this year fixes that.

I agree. We never had that Skalski this year. I thought of that this year when it seemed we needed that type of on the field leadership to help get off the field on third down.

You are a sad fan if you think our coaches play players that are not giving their best. The fact is we play against other good players and that will certainly be the case this year when we play a really good, tough schedule. With our schedule this year it will be a tall order to win more than 11 games. College football is becoming more and more competitive every year.

I have to disagree. If we lose more than one game, I'd be extremely disappointed. Same with missing the playoffs. We should be that good. If not, then a real conversation needs to take place about coach replacement. Barring a major injury or something like that.

We will be a Top 10 team
With a mobile QB, more will be available from the offense.
Many will again believe the endless hype. ( I'm guessing they just cannot help themselves )
Thinking "our" recruits are magically better than everyone else's is ridiculous. We certainly get some good ones......but so do most other teams. We certainly aren't elite in several areas.
Personally, I wait until about Game #3 to see where we actually are.
Hype doesn't win games.

I didn’t see any real leadership on the D last year until Wiggins got fired up. Ruke was trying to become that leader, but too many tragedies and injuries kept mucking up the chemistry. I think XT has it in him to get fired up and get the D fired up. Especially now that he is a super senior. His motor runs high. It is his time to shine!

Exactly what came to mind when I saw we needed someone to step up.
If I had to put money on it, Trotter would be at the top for the LBs. Would love to see XT or Ruke on the DL pick up where KJ left off as the energetic senior helping lead the way.
