When I joined, I was retired and had time to waste on Tnet.
LBB once explained that Tnet is a forum for social interaction for some of us geezers who are no longer in the mainstream work day social world.
Geezers who have been members for 20 years begin to post more - because they now can.
That is a good thing for us all.
Don't know if Salty55® is retired, but have noticed an uptick from some who are.

Seems like a great guy. I am recently retired myself and enjoy TNet mostly during football season. I have around 3000 points after over 20 years so I’m considerably less active than most. Thus when the ® became a thing I never went for it. Speaking of LBB haven’t seen him for awhile. Is he still with us?

Let's start with this "1998" thing. T-Net actually existed BEFORE 1998. About 2 or 3 years after the start they made a major change and everyone who had been on it prior was moved up to the start date of 1998. I don't know the exact date it started, but I believe I started around 1995. There weren't many on it back then and server problems were common.

Do what I want, when and from where I want. Still have a client, part-time remote that likes keeping me around, which is nice...so that'll continue for as long as the marriage is harmonious!  ">
It's kinda neat being an 'adjective' on T-Net!
The ones who offer a reflection of who they are through their memories and viewpoints, without rancor, are enjoyable to follow along with. They're worthy of meeting should paths cross. Humor...yes, definitely! Music...keep it coming.

Keep those Salty poasts coming.
My wife and travel all the time, and that definitely cuts down on the amount of poasts I can make. But it’s nice to make some friends via TigerNet.

people, even those who like to aggravate sometimes.
Most, I'm sure, enjoy the camaraderie, because they realize this is a sports site, designed for entertainment and not one to be taken as a matter of life or death. I like the interaction between those of varying backgrounds, ages, predelections, interests blah blah blah. I have been surprised with those who actually have a lot of knowledge of the X's and O's of our sports, as well as solid suggestions for improvements. I hope none of that changes.
As for our younger members, I'm happy to see them willing to mix it up with some of us older types, for that's healthy for all ages.
