I just saw that.
A Clemson Legend is coming home to Clemson.
### was told by multiple sources that Dabo Swinney hired former Clemson great and Ring of Honor recipient, Levon Kirkland, to join his staff. We are not sure what Kirkland’s role will be on Swinney’s staff, but we were told it is likely in player relations and development.

I wonder if he will have a significant role with the LB room.
Maybe be the Mon-Fri coach for the group; currently Goodwin doubles as LB coach.
I can see a situation where he allows Kirkland to basically coach them through the week in a "role". Not sure what type.
Goodwin was at his best when he was able to really study the opponent and then send signals to Venables as to what they were doing.
I imagine having to coach the LB room; it has taken away from what Goodwin can really help Clemson do on defense.
I find this move intriguing. Lots of speculation on my part; can't wait to see or read the tea leaves as to how it's going to shake out.

I had a kid at Shannon Forest when he tried to help that school that was too small to have a football team get one going in hopes of increasing school enrollment.
If you read about his post NFL career his real work has been in recruiting. I think that is what he's been hired to help with more than coaching.

Levon is a great guy and was a great player. He always has seemed so nice unless you were on the other team and had the ball. One of my favorites
