What out of conference team would you most like to see

on our schedule in the next several years? I would love to see us play Oregon. While we obviously don't compete with them for recruits, I think a game with them would only add to our national brand.

Aside from the Cowboys, I'd like to have a home and home with Florida, Wisconsin, Penn State, BYU, any PAC 12 team.

I still cringe every time I hear "Mississippi State". I went to our bowl game vs them in '99. Talk about miserable.

Here's my three wish list: 1. Alabama- to be the best, you have to play and beat the best. 2. Michigan or Michigan State- one has good history and one is good right now. It would also extend our recruiting range. 3. Oregon- You only improve in close games versus top teams. I would love for this game to be in Dallas.

TCU and Baylor would be interesting. IMO, they are two of the best programs in the country (and at least one of them should have been in the NC semis this year).

I really enjoyed our home&home with aTm...Texas might be a fun couple of games. I'd LOVE to meet the REAL usc in Dallas. Penn state/Ohio state...a home&home with university of Washington, just so we could show them THE loudest cfb stadium in the country (Oregon would suffice here as well lol)...nice OP, fun discussion! +1!

In no specific order---TCU; Michigan; Penn State; Nebraska; Tennessee; either SEC team from Mississippi or Purdue. Any of those would be image enhancers for Tiger football and Clemson in distant places.

answers like Georgia, Auburn and Tennessee I would like to see us play some traditional "name" programs like Penn State, Ohio State, Texas, LSU, UCLA, etc.
Arizona and RichRod would be cool as well.

I would love to beat the real USC, Texas, Oregon, Michigan, UTEP, Pepperdine, Dartmouth to name a few powerhouses. North greenville if the Willy still played there.

1) Big 12 - Either TX (check out the music scene) or TCU (JFK, rodeos, stockyards) or Texas Tech (Buddy Holly, Waylon & others in music) 2) Big 10 - Either Penn St (stop by Gettysburg, Lancaster & Hershey) WI (like to watch them run the ball) or OH State (see if they are still overrated) 3) Pac 12 - Arizona (have friends in Tucson, close to MX)

What I'd like to see is the Power 5 heads getting together

and as part of this new "autonomy" arrangement they passed come up with a cohesive and consistent plan to integrate some type of shared OOC scheduling arrangement. Look at longer term (4-year or so) windows of mixing league opponents based on even #'s of home and away games, and devise a seeding arrangement based on the prior few year's records to help pit more similar teams together in these match-ups. Not necessarily 1 vs. 1 etc., but a top 4-6 vs. a similar spread, taking into consideration annual logistics and other factors to make it work out even for all.
Schedule these games to overlap during opening weeks, or over a couple of weekend periods late September or early October. There's so much guesswork involved in having to schedule these contests 4-8 years in advance - who knows who's gonna be what by the time they come around. It'd be great to see us play a Wisconsin on the road one year, Nebraska at home the next, then an Ole Miss away and maybe Tennessee at home the year following. Keep a rotation, keep home / aways in check, and let 'er rip.
