OP years started in 03-04 Brad years started in 10-11
Don't know what was going in Shyatt's last year but might have been due to another more TV games after that.
OP's last year average was close to 9.5k per game in 09-10. Look how it was climbing each year in from all 7 season especially the last four when we were very relevant in college basketball with a brand style of play
And look how Brad has it declining in his second year.
Can not count after the renovation season in 17-18 because now less seats but think we can do better than that for amount of seats in the arena now.

I think the announced attendance was 5,200 but the actual was probably less than 1,000.

You really got me thinking. Attendance across NCAA has been dropping for some time in the BB world. I am wondering if the football created mega conferences has cause other issues.
I can't imagine having the expansion teams is doing us any favors. I think this *would * have been one of the few seasons we would have had Duke and UNC both at home in a while. Dook seems less likely now.
I don't see out matchups against Pitt, BC, Miami, and ND driving ticket sales.
You note a noticeable drop in 14 despite that being one of our better seasons. We only hosted Duke of note that season. Other wise we hosted BC, WF, GT, NC State, Maryland, Pittsburg, UVA, and Miami. Not a great slate. Our UNC game was in CH and did not host against a ranked UofL.
2018-19 should have been better. (Granted we had a long football season) but normally the previous season drives attendance. Home slate was UVA, GT, Pitt, Wake, VT, FSU, BC, UNC, Cuse.
19-20 EARLY VT game, State, Duke, Wake, Cuse, ND, UofL, FSU, GT. And we BEAT three top 6 teams at home that year.
But here - when we played Duke and UNC at home...
17-18 was the good recent post reno year. NC State, UofL, Miami ,ND, UNC, Pitt, Duke, GT, FSU. Even the Miami game was against a ranked squad. Save for ND and Pitt, the rest were in the upper half of ACC play. A nearl 10% over the following year just because we played better opponents as well as better play.

I don't know that we've had any sellouts since LJ reopened a little smaller so the average numbers during these last years shouldn't be affected.
Sad how we've gone from a tough place to play to just a place to play over the past decade. Incremental energy loss year after year after year. On the bright side though Judge should be getting better and better seats each year as less and less show up.

My main point in this is not to bring Barnes or OP back, but the fans will show up if you win...

That's exactly right.
I remember in the 70s and 80s we wouldn't hesitate a second to get off work a bit early and drive from Lexington.
No real way to determine what avg age in attendance or demographic makeup over the years. Every game is TV and streaming cut down attendance in all sports.

Brownell has won games basically at the same rate as Purnell. Also brownell has had more big wins at home.

I wasn't comparing the records as much as showing if Clemson wins consistently fans will show up. OP had 4 straight 20 wins seasons and fans were showing up more and more each of those seasons.
But since you are comparing...
Records at Clemson
W L. winning% Stength Of Schedule
OP: 138-88 .611 8.05 BB: 210-155 .575 6.86
Also other coaches Barnes: 74-48 .607 9.46 Ellis: 179-129 .581 10.57 Foster: 156-106 .595 11.12
Will not display Shyatt but he was under .500 here is good reference site:

There are more and more alumni available to attend games every year -- not going in the right direction.

The attendance when Skip Wise played his one year was very good. Watching Wise play was worth the price of admission. What a life and career that was wasted over drugs. A lot to be learned here.

This year is still impacted by covid. I have missed a few games/sold my tickets because of concerns with covid. I dont think you can put the attendance on Brownell from 2020-on
