Please fax any tips or inside knowledge you may have about the CSU football program to our staff as soon as it becomes available - our Tigers need all the help we can supply to make sure we can be competitive against the Buccaneers on 9/9.
Let’s turn our worries into real action.

Charleston Southern players don't have an athletic cafeteria

They eat in the student cafeteria. But, they have one of the best student cafeterias in the country.
I would warn the coaches to tell the players not to be overconfident because the CSU players are "eating cafeteria food" and will be worn out by the second half.
Is that the kind of insight you are looking for to be passed along to the coaches?

Thank you for giving our Tigers a leg up.
We will be happy to reciprocate when the Noles play North Alabama on 11/18. Digging into their library archives as. we. speak.

I can help by telling the staff that Charleston Southern is not south of Charleston at all. It's kinda northwest at Exit 205. CSU has always had an identity crisis, similar to the Fighting Chickens school. Which is not to be confused with their cousins, the Other Fighting chickens school, with whom CSU had a real rivalry for a few years.
See, when the board was temporarily trying to disassociate from the state Baptist convention and change their name from its original Baptist College at Charleston, they had a naming contest among the students: the winner got free tuition for a semester. Problem was, the board didn't like any student 's ideas. No one got free tuition.
Eventually someone on the board suggested Charleston Southern University as a name, and even though it made no sense, they liked it better than all the alternatives. In fact, most board members preferred the CSU name better before they heard the reasoning behind it.
The reasoning was something like this: there are multiple cities named Charleston in this nation, but none of them has a national profile as a mecca of higher learning. Calling your school Charleston Southern associates the school with the southern Charleston instead of the northern Charleston. That board member was not a South Carolinian, and he feared that the school would choose a name that would make the public associate the school with West Virginia ( because he thought Charleston WV had a higher national profile than Charleston, SC. Not kidding.)

Oh, yeah, I forgot the most important part:
Since we get'em in the Valley, nobody cares where CSU's campus is.

Here's what I got

Charleston Southern plays in the FCS.
CSU has won one postseason game in its history. They fell bass-ackwards into Jamey Chadwell, who moved on to Coastal and now to Liberty.
CSU has never defeated a FBS opponent although they came close against Vanderbilt and East Carolina, and they will not be winning one against Clemson. Historically against teams of Clemson caliber, they have lost by 40-50 points.
The basketball arena is a cracker box that wouldn't seat a thousand. The football stadium is probably the fifth best in the greater Charleston area behind the Citadel and three high schools.
We could beat them by 40 with Clemson's 2021 offense and the 2011 defense.
Threat level: zero.

If we worried more as a fan base, it would help this team climb back to the top.

Will need only 30 minutes to prepare for that scrimmage. Maybe let the players coach themselves and have some fun.
