Allow me to submit my UGA related family decisions

Aug 26, 2013, 11:39 PM

In 1984 I inexplicably attended the Clemson versus UGA game in Athens with my former father-in-law an avid Georgia Bulldog. When Butler kicked the 60 and a half yard field goal to win the game on the final play, my father-in-law went berserk including the despicable act of pretending he was a bulldog himself scratching his feet on the ground as if to be covering up his just done business. The poor sportsmanship was unacceptable to the point that I never spoke to him again for the remainder of his life over the next quarter of a century. And I have no regrets whatsoever.

Just remember this, and I truly hope you forgive him for how ever he acted. You will one day want God to forgive you for what ever you have done over your entire life. Forgive the man before it's to late.

He could have been dead for 30 years, but it won't be to late unless you die before you ask God to forgive you for harboring your feeling against your father in law. He may not forgive you, but God will in the name of Jesus. I would hate for you to enter hell over someone acting childish over a game. God will forgive you, and that's all that matters.

But I had been a perfect sport during the entire game***

I was there too, wasn't the final play.

UGA had to kick off to us. We ran a reverse on the return and got within field goal range before our returner was pushed out of bounds. Clock operator at Sanford let time run off and we weren't allowed to try field goal. There were at least 2 seconds left on the clock when our guy went out of bounds. This was before any type of reviewing occurred. Danny was pissed.

Here is the link to that game. The announcers both agreed

Rumor has it that about 25 years later, that same clock operator transferred to Duke
