Gutless quitters. Truly a place for many to practice weakening themselves.

I don’t think you can play for 2 teams at once

So he has to quit Clemson…crystal clear

Nope.

It gives them the ability to decide what's best for them.

Sometimes, sticking it out where they are is the best decision. Other times, the best move is to leave and go where they can flourish more.

It definitely makes things harder for coaches though. We've seen it a lot in basketball in recent years in hoops and now we are seeing it more in football as well.

Yep. Chez Mellussi is proof that sometimes it’s just time for a change.

I think he could go to another d1 school and get 10-15 touches a game after sitting behind Etn the last 3 years. Technically he should be allowed two more years due to the COVID rules and not have to sit next year. if he wants a chance to play in the NFL, this is probably his best route.

2021 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link

He won't have to sit next year regardless.

Sep 20, 2021, 9:23 PM

This year qualifies as his sitting out year since he is playing in no more than 4 games.

What a dumb take

Sep 20, 2021, 9:24 PM

If you are 3rd string and you can be first string somewhere else, but you just sit on your hands?

He is not going to be getting 1st string snaps here. But just sit and enjoy the crowd.

So dumb

Yes, all Clemson football players are supposed to stay

for their entire eligibility no matter what. Because loyalty.

Nothing else to see here. Took his ball and went home. Trying to church it up is an espn move

2021 orange level memberbadge-donor-15yr.jpg flag link

He got beat out by better players

Sep 20, 2021, 9:44 PM

tip your hat and find a place where you can contribute.

He can do anything under the sun and still not beat out Shipley or Pace.

But according to you he should just beat his head against a wall and enjoy the free scholly.

Maybe they’d rather go where they can attend some good basketball games.***

So if I’m struggling in Clemson, and then I transfer the South Carolina and graduate with honors, I’m a quitter?

I don't think that's the case. It gives them the chance to

try to find a better fit and hopefully more playing time. The problem with it is that there needs to be some sort of requirements on moving toward completing a degree that will allow them to get a good job outside of football. Seems to me that most of these guys moving are not going to make it in the NFL. And a lot of them don't even move themselves into better situations regarding playing time. They will need a degree. And not some crappy degree that won't let them get a job!
