Possibly heading to Oklahoma to be Co-DC on Venables staff.
Current Co-DC probably heading to be DC @ WVU for Rich Rod.
I usually don’t put alot of stock into TCI but we’ll see how this plays out. Not surprised at the news but somewhat relieved to see Goodwin has more than likely called his last game @ Clemson.

Sounds like it's about what we expected. Give Wes some time to ask around, find a spot and then Dabo announces new DC. I expect, if this is true, we will wait until after playoffs to announce a new hire. I'm sure Dabo has a replacement and maybe they are still coaching in a bowl or playoffs. We shall see.

I think it’s probably more true than not.
Seems like win-win for both sides.
Clemson gets to move on from Goodwin and Goodwin gets to move on without being “fired” so to speak.

He typically goes on vacation, vettes a few candidates, makes a few calls, and then waits until after bowl season and all games have been played to make an announcement.
Excited to see who he brings in.

We need a fresh start and so does Wes, it will be good for him to go somewhere and OU would be a good landing spot for him…. Hope it works out well for teh Tigers, in whoever they get, and also for Wes for hos next step in his journey…..

That crap site wants to be relevant so bad. They’re speculating on the obvious. That site also has a subscription to Tigerillustrated. Tigerillustrated has been hinting around that there’s going to be changes on the defensive staff all week.
When Goodwin gets canned it’s natural to think he goes to Oklahoma. He was heading there with BV, until he was made DC.

To be clear, TCI did not report he’s taking a co-DC position at OU. They are reporting that Alley is likely headed to WVU. It would be crazy for Venables to hire Goodwin into a co-DC position with the resume and results of the past season. Venables has almost no collateral to use with the OU administration right now. They just saw what Texas did to his defense and scheme. That wasn’t anything close to improving the Sooners defense in the SEC. My guess is Dabo has assembled a plan for Goodwin to get the soft landing at OU in the booth doing his analyst job.
