Generally, about 75% of the ticket sales after operating expenses go to the artist(s).
I've never worked on a show of this scale but that is a pretty standard number.

It’s actually a bargain. He could charge way more and sell it out. Concerts are expensive - Taylor Swift tickets were 2-3 grand- or more.
He only does a handful of shows a year and they are all hard sell outs with much higher demand than supply. On the secondary market leading up to the show they will be much higher. His show in College Station last year set the all time US ticketed concert event at over 110,000 people.
There will be people coming to Clemson to see him from probably 40 states. - This is the only show in ‘26 on his calendar.
And his shows are incredible - He covers Waylon, Willie, Merle, Cash, and even plays a few of his own songs 
And he also gives away a house - yes a house - to wounded warrior family in need at every show - so some of the money goes there.

No kidding.... I was very disappointed who they came up with to start the DV concert series again. I will definitely sit this one out...not sure I'd pay $50.

Sounds like 2nd market prices. Ticket brokers go in and buy thousands of tickets then resell for much higher prices.
