very gutty performance and good decisions, the one pick aside... really good job by him. Tyshon Dye is a good looking kid. Hopefully he is that back Morris has been searching for since he's been here.
Clemson teams of old lose that game.

Got some key first downs with his feet as well. You are right about the Clemson teams of old. A certain Thursday night in 2008 comes to mind.

The thing about Cole's game last night is that he was

able to face adversity and injury and still get a win, in a road conference game, in front of hundreds of loud screaming Wake fans. That place sounded loud, I'm surprised the offense could hear Cole when he clapped for the ball.

Interception was horrible i think it was the play before the interception and he missed a wide open AH badly pass to Leggett near the goal line was reminiscent of FSU
need more consistency in OL they play well in spurts but then get blown up on a play or two and kill drives--- DW can hide/overcome some of that
I'd like to see our playcalling change on 3rd and short particularly on the their side of the field. Try the pitch play on 3rd down instead of 4th. Throw a short pass on 3rd and one-- we seem very successful at hitting these when we are in 3rd 5-7. Other teams are putting 8 or 9 in the box on 3rd/4th and short and our OL doesn't know how to account for that or Stoudt is not seeing it and audibleing when he should be

The screen passes or the run he gets credited for? Where did he test Wakes secondary?

he made some nice reads on check downs, ran for the first a couple of times, and, other than the pick, didn't put the ball in jeopardy.
That's all you can ask, especially for someone who was playing hurt.
According to you, he only gets credited for those things if he tested their secondary? That makes sense.

the best we've seen Cole look all year. Glad he was able to bounce back from that INT and get it going. Would have been really easy to let that snowball into more mistakes, but he responded very well.

"great" QB, and has some limitations, and does have trouble checking down and picking up blitzes at times, but he is pretty banged up and that definitely affects not only his physical performance, but his mental state and decision making as well.
Put a 100% healthy Stoudt behind a strong OL and with a stud RB in the backfield, and he'd look like a different QB. He just doesn't have the tools to overcome the absence of all of those things.
