This needs to be said....I love the guy and want to see him come back....
But not as OC.
Let him coach wide receivers again and run recruiting or just the latter.
We need NEW blood for an OC. Someone to come in and see something different and apply new schemes. A true experienced play caller and developer of the QB.

Not sure he would come back in a lesser role, meaning less than OC. I think we won by talent not scheming under Scott/Elliott.

Yes, but Jeff Scott was a big reason we had that talent, especially at WR. You can coach up a WR, but most of the great ones we have had were obviously good when they got here. Nuk, Sammie, Tee, Mike Williams ...

Why not? He’s tried his hand at the bigger roles, and wasn’t great. That’s okay.
He’s probably the best WR coach and recruiting coordinator in the country, and Clemson would pay him a ridiculous salary to do it.
What’s wrong with that?

Jeff would also make a very good TE coach because of his experience with the WR’s. Their are many candidates for Offensive Coordinator but our current situation isn’t working real well.
If I took the offensive coordinator job, my number one rule is Dabo could call 3 plays a game so I could set up my scheme each game to beat the opponent.
I’d suggest the QB’s & WR/TE’s play 7 on 7 using our routes all off season so their timing would be incredible.
We don’t have a connection with our players the way we should. The new change the route during the play thing hasn’t worked yet.
