The dichotomy of pumpers and dumpers is asinine

The season is not over. Let's decide later if this season was a bad season or a good season. Maybe the conversation should move to what we think would make the team play better.
1. Better tight end play. We need our tight ends to be better at protecting Tajh. They also need to be catching passes we need them on 3rd downs/redzone. So I think we should bench Seckinger.
2. Offensive line. I think this has been covered enough.
3. We need to use our younger receivers better. I would like to see Mike Williams, at 6'3," to be used as a deep threat. They also need to be placed in easier situations and not have them to do complicated things.
4. Moving Travis Blanks to a better suited position. He has been the weakest part of our weakest part on the team. I think Kearse and Wiggins have earned more snaps.
5. More wheel routes from Brooks. That was really awesome. I would enjoy to see him do that more.
6. Limit Hot Rod running down the middle. I feel more comfortable with Brooks and Howard going through the defense.
7. Sammy needs to play the way he did against Maryland from here on out. He is to good to not earn yards the way he did.
8. Limit designed QB runs until we play the Coots, and our bowl game. We need Tajh to be healthy for these big games.
What am I missing? What do you think?

Blanks should move back to the position he played last year....his production there was much better.

This is my response, from what I've seen, to each point you had
1. Better tight end play. We need our tight ends to be better at protecting Tajh. They also need to be catching passes we need them on 3rd downs/redzone. So I think we should bench Seckinger.
For the most part, our tight ends are young outside of Cooper who was injured. Also, they don't block very well. Either a coaching or s&c issue. Most likely s&c, along with the OL.
2. Offensive line. I think this has been covered enough.
Well said. Pitiful, especially on the strong side.
3. We need to use our younger receivers better. I would like to see Mike Williams, at 6'3," to be used as a deep threat. They also need to be placed in easier situations and not have them to do complicated things.
We have a really, really good #1 receiver. Outside of that, Bryant doesn't run good routes and losing Peake has hurt us a lot. Humphries does what he can, but he's not a downfield threat unless the defense forgets he's there. The younger guys can do something, but haven't proven to be reliable when in position.
4. Moving Travis Blanks to a better suited position. He has been the weakest part of our weakest part on the team. I think Kearse and Wiggins have earned more snaps.
Kearse is and will be good given time. The problem is Blanks was supposed to be good and is just plain pitiful. Horrible angles and cannot cover the run when he's supposed to.
5. More wheel routes from Brooks. That was really awesome. I would enjoy to see him do that more.
It'd be great to do this, but Zac is more of a power runner.
6. Limit Hot Rod running down the middle. I feel more comfortable with Brooks and Howard going through the defense.
It doesn't matter who is running down the middle. Outside of Thomas, our OL gets no push and creates no holes. Thats why we always see our RBs dancing behind the line; there aren't any holes and they don't know where to go.
7. Sammy needs to play the way he did against Maryland from here on out. He is to good to not earn yards the way he did.
He earned the yards he did because 1. He's better than anyone on the field, and 2. Tajh is looking only to him. This is because of a combination of our OL and poor receiving depth.
8. Limit designed QB runs until we play the Coots, and our bowl game. We need Tajh to be healthy for these big games.
QB runs are a big part of this year's offense because outside of McDowell, we don't have a quality back. We have to use Tajh because he's our 2nd, if not best, running back.

"Tajh because he's our 2nd, if not best, running back."
True and so disappointing. Remind me how Mike Davis fell out with clemson?

We put all our stock in Gurley and Marshall and whiffed on both to UGA, while neglecting Davis

Yeah, we missed out on 3 bad a$$ running backs in one recruiting year. We dropped the ball a little.

position. he has all the talent in the world. he just needs experience and confidence. we do need leggett, or cooper, to step up at the te position. also, do not put a moratorium on boyd's running, just let him pick his spots, he is a 5th yr. sr., at clemson!
