ACC Commissoner Jim Phillips Better Get Creative

Sep 12, 2021, 12:08 AM

ACC Football is an EXTREME EMBARRASSMENT. Outside of CU, these other teams should forfeiture their Conference Money and send it all to Clemson!

It's pretty bad this year. Not too many will make bowl appearances.

What's he going to do Kick out 75% of the conference and replace them with FCS programs?

I will concur in that there is no way an equal share of football money should be given to other ACC teams vs what Clemson has brought to the conference over the last 8yrs

We would t have been able to keep the athletic department open in the 90s

Sep 12, 2021, 1:56 AM

If FSU kept all of its money as “football clout”

Even though the Tigers were Mediocre and sub-par in the 1990’s, they did not lose to FCS (then I-AA) Teams.

Probably sounds like FSU when we were losing to Marshall***

Marshall was I-A in 1999 and not I-AA. They also were Quarterbacked by a great player in Chad Pennington.

Pitt beat Tenn, UVA beat Ill.

Miami is never coming back. FSU has massive issues if a coach won a NC there and left for greener pastures...maybe he can go back after he gets fired in a couple years.

Look for other teams to take torch. VT needs to step up. Pitt, GT, Syracuse have decorated histories but I don't see any returning. GT could if they dump some money into the program. I'll believe a northeast team after it happens. UNC and UVA have potential but I don't think their fans can get hyped enough to expand stadiums and fill seats. I dont know what ncst excuse is, but they ought to do much better than they ever do.
