Just got done watching my recorded Open Championship

1st round. They must have used a knife edge laser to cut those holes into the ground. I saw ball after ball roll over the edges, seemingly on air, and did not see ONE roll around and fall in all day.
On another note, it was a great day for the Tiger Woods haters out there. He must definitely be on the outs with the golf gods, because they sure knocked him down today. I don't know if I have ever seen another round where a players ball just bounced the wrong way just about every time it had a chance to, which is pretty much on every hole at St. Andrews. Add to that not making much of anything with the flat stick, and the wind that was up during his round, and 78 is what you get. He was fighting uphill from the very first hole, and never got it on an even keel.
A major always seems to be good for having at least one guy

not many people have ever heard of, at or near the lead after Round One. But, predictably, the golf course sorts them out over the four days, and the "cream" usually rises to the top in the end.
