A lot of fans like Bob Richie from Furman...

Feb 12, 2022, 4:33 PM

But l'd consider Lamont Paris for Tennesse Chatanooga maybe more from the SoCon. Just beat Furman today for the second time this season, and now have a 2 game lead over them in fist place. They are 21-5 overall and the last three season are 49-25. Paris got great experience as an assistant for Bo Ryan at Wisconsin for 7 years including the season they went to the National Championship game and lost to Duke.

Good point

I just left that game.

It was no coaching masterpiece by the MOCs HC. Had Furman’s best shooter not gone 0-8 behind the arc, Furman would have run them out of the gym. Bob is a much higher caliber coach.

When you beat someone twice in your two games those are facts.

Also, working for a guy in Bo Ryan at Wisconsin for 7 seasons is good enough for me.

Both are good, but still say until get to the NCAAT should be back up candidates now if the job opens up.

I haven’t debated your fact/s.

Merely pointed out where the game was lost this afternoon and it had nothing to do with who the better coach is. That’s a “fact.”

Good thing none of you have a vote. Recruiting is the issue and how would these low mid major coaches help? Think about where you will land before you jump off the roof.

Only one person in this thread, (the OP )

suggested either as a replacement for Brad. I clearly stated only to the effect that Bob is a better coach. comprende? ?????

Recruiting may be the most important factor, but Alabama and Arkansas have hired some pretty good BB coaches from Buffalo and Nevada.
They had no connections to the region but have rapidly improved those programs. I know there are examples of failure, too. But I would like to see a young coach who is a winner and give him a shot.

The only thing I would disagree with is the allusion that Brad is an old man. He’s young in terms of his age, not experience.
