Giving your word to anyone in the NFL I don't see as a very good thing to do bc, the NFL is a cut throat business that has plunged the knife in the back of many loyal players that has given their all to their teams. Keeping his word is an honorable thing to do, but in the long run in a cut throat business, I hope that he never has to regret not taking the most money when it was on the table to just pick up and put it in the bank. I've always felt that a bird in the hand is better than a dozen in the bush. Being loyal to a team in the NFL is like trading the bird in the hand for the dozen in the bush. I truly hope that Adam will be with the Titans long enough to collect the 39 mil, but just one bad season and they will cut him and make another deal with another player, and Adam will be taking his word in search of another team!!! My word is my bond, and I try not to give it to folks that has proven their word or loyalties aren't worth the air they use up giving it in contracts that are so easily broken!!!

Humphries is a Clemson man which means he’s a man of integrity and his word is everything. It is a tough decision but he’s in a less pressure situation and 40 million isn’t a bad payday

I’d say he did the right thing. Better weather, closer to home, more likely Mariota is up and coming while Brady has to be on the Downhill soon, and Patriots owner could possibly change.

Real proud of you son. Your word means something and money in the NFL is an illusion. Can't wait to see perform this next season.
