Seems like DJU and Rattler had similar 2021 seasons

Both didn't live up to expectations. Maybe OU had a better supporting. OU just happened to have a highly regarded freshman that could take over for Rattler.

Rattler: 75% completion rate, 11 TDs, 5 INTs

DJU: 57% completion rate, 9 TDs, 8 INTs

I too think those numbers are eerily similar.

Yea the guy that beat out rattler finished the season with a top 5 qb rating.

Rattler finished top 35. DJ finished top 126. Very similar.

Well, he got benched and was projected to be a Heisman candidate. DJ was a Heisman candidate too and would have been benched if a suitable replacement was on the team. Both disappointments.

But hey, their seasons weren't similar at all.
