Only a person who wishes to remain ignorant would not have looked long enough to see that this is from The Hill, but you cling to your illusions.

There is no unity of thought on most political issues. The unity we should be seeking is the willingness to listen to someone with an opposing viewpoint and the willingness to be persuaded that our viewpoint may need an adjustment. I struggle with both, but am working on it. So 56% of 508 folks are for conviction. 44% aren’t. Not sure what to make of this poll.
Pretty sure 56% of the Senate doesn’t hold the same view.
I’m interested in hearing both sides in the trial.

Don't you get it?
How many times do I have to tell you?
Just like the elections, polls don't matter because there is one side presented from the MSM and social media mafia.
The fact that 90% of citizens do not say Trump should be convicted means that the REAL GROUND TRUTH opinion based on balanced facts would far less than 56%.
Do you understand that polls are meaningless, elections as well, if MSM and big tech all preach the same story? Do you get it now?
Tell me mr. Tobias27772 very specifically, what did Trump say or do to incite the Capital entry. Because I can tell you a dozen, 10 dozen maybe, facts in speeches and written messages where Trump called for peaceful protests.

You guys seem to think that unless Trump says the exact words, "attack the capitol" then he is not inciting the crowd to riot. Just like the telephone call with the Ukrainian President in which the quid pro quo was obvious, but just because he did not say the actual words, you cling to the position that it did not happen.
For two months, Trump refused to accept reality, and egged his followers on that their election had been stolen from them. Then he invited them to DC to take back their country. Then he put on a big show for them, riling them up and sending them to the Capitol and told them,
"Our country has had enough. We will not take it anymore and that’s what this is all about. To use a favorite term that all of you people really came up with, we will stop the steal. Today I will lay out just some of the evidence proving that we won this election, and we won it by a landslide."
"not going to be cheering so much for some of them because you’ll never take back our country with weakness. You have to show strength, and you have to be strong."

Can we not show weakness and be strong by quit batching about Trump in every other sentence we speak? We have a pandemic that is causing sickness and causing deaths and instead of attacking the 2 things that is killing this country is self created, and media created divisiveness , and a freaking virus that has infected nearly the whole population, meanwhile we have people like you who worried If Trump farted last week or not.

At this point, defending him is partisan hackery and evidence of a lack of integrity.

At this point, defending him is partisan hackery and evidence of a lack of integrity.
Actions are also somewhat important. Kamala Harris was behind the effort to bail out from jail in Minneapolis the protestors who were arrested not for peaceful protesting, but for acts of violence. This action therefore put criminals back on the street. Do you defend her actions? If so why? Should impeachment proceedings not be brought against her? Surely more than a few of the thugs who were released went back to burning, looting, etc.
I in no way defend the words of Trump at the rally. It would appear that plans were already in the works to carry out this half ### poorly planned attack. If it can be shown that Trump knew of these plans or approved and desired what transpired, then not only should he be convicted in the Senate and barred from running for office, but he should be charged criminally.
It might be interesting to hear the evidence before reaching a conclusion of guilt. Anyone who has reached a conclusion of guilt or innocence before even hearing the evidence is not a worthy juror and that includes the GOP Senators too, much less the American citizens.Chuck Schumer and Maxine Waters to name a few have likewise used language that encouraged unacceptable behavior. Their words could have just as easily led to injuries or deaths. Neither have faced censure for their behavior. Yes, what about is correct, but it should go both ways should it not?
