5-star guard has Clemson in top schools

Five-star 2023 Norcross, Georgia point guard London Johnson announced Clemson in a top schools group on Tuesday with Georgia, Virginia, NC State, USC and Alabama.

“I have a good connection with the coaches. They have a lot of graduating guards coming up. They signed some big men, so now they need some guards," he told Rivals.

He is rated as the No. 17 overall prospect for 2023 by Rivals.

Johnson announced a Clemson offer in June.

Would be a breakthrough for Brad and save his job for at least another season or two. Alabama and Virginia I'm sure would be very competitive.

Can Dabo do the in home? j/k You would think a 5?? would love to take his talent to a school such as Clemson. Suppose NIL is gripping this sport as well.

Its says he might decide early after new year. What factors are important I wonder? Playing next time next year would help us with three senior guards leaving next season.

I think snagging a recruit of this caliber would do more than save CBB's job for a season or two. It would raise the program's profile for starters which could lead to better recruiting results in the future. If he's as good as his ranking he could be the difference maker needed beat the high level competition we've lost to in the past. I don't believe for a minute CBB this couldn't take advantage of talent infusion like this.
