Is He Done?
Is He Done? I watched Sports Center yesterday and found out that the New York Jets were benching Mark Sanchez. That was not a shock. What was a surprise is that they are going with Greg McElroy, not Tim Tebow.
So on my radio show this morning, we started wondering if Tebow was done? Wa

Great Write-up!

I like being able to see the underdog get their chance and make the most of it. Encouraging to see these types of things happen! I hope Lateek is the next up and comer!
What is almost as bad is when some people (or coaches) hang on too long and wait for them to come around. The player never seems to quite find their position or their comfort zone. Hated to see Rendrick Taylor bounce around and never get his chance display his capabilities.

As much as I wanted Rendrick Taylor to be the beast we all thought he could be, he never could stay healthy enough, for long enough, to be the factor we wanted. He may have been one of those guys who have so many muscles that their joints can't stand up to the strain they are put under. I wonder the same thing about Tony Steward. Another beast who has had injury issues. Steward seems to be getting there, though, and I hope he makes the impact we all expected. JMO

I don't remember Bartley playing much at all until his senior year and then he got a fair number of reps. He did have one huge play in the 1998 (I believe) South Carolina game where he intercepted a pass and took it in for a touchdown. That was his last game as a senior (no bowl that year) and was essentially his career highlight.

big question mark at the beginning of the year, never played O-line and I really didn't hear his name much after that which was a good thing in my opinion. He did his job where we desperatley needed him to.
