I say 3-1 with Watson, on our way to clinch the division, end the streak, beat our opponent in the ACCCG and then off to the playoffs....sigh

it was just unfortunate the schedule was laid out as it was, with the 2 toughest road games of the year in the first 3 weeks.....nightmare for trying to get a true freshman some game experience.
If we had started with SC State and any other ACC game first, with UGA and FSU down the road about mid-year, things could have worked out much more positively.

Good point. UGA game is totally different if we play SC state game 1 IMO

since neither Hutson Mason nor Sean MacGuire 'beat' us,

it goes to reason that Cole Stoudt didn't lose the UGA or FSU games either. And if you deigned to watch the games you could think of 5 good reasons we lost that had nothing to do with QB play.
Blaming QB play is just rationalization for those haters out there who are no longer connected with reality about the true quality of our coaching staff.
Every team has these kinds of fans. It's just more pronounced at schools where demi-gods no longer walk the field: UCLA in basketball, Nebraska in football, Dallas Cowboys in football, et al. All have fans living in the past.

dumpster fire of mistakes at the most inopportune time. But to say that Watson wouldn't have made a difference is just a ludicrous as me saying he would. The only difference is, evidence suggested Cole missed a critical opportunity to score, but there is no evidence to suggest Watson would not have. Watson supporters have the benefit of an unknown, an unknown that seemed to have performed pretty #### good as the starter against UNC. I personally believe in momentum in this game...there's no telling what would have unfolded if Watson was allowed to capitalize on those missed opportunities. We left a lot of points out on that field.

I don't think Watson misses that easy throw to the wide-open TE that cost Clemson 7 points against FSU. That one play by itself most likely wins it for Clemson
